Thumbpulling technique debate
I get it that some people have issues with high-intensity thumbpulling with chin-tucks, but isn't that simply because, they should start with lower intensity and only after some time the body will adapt to higher intensity? The rationale is similar to reviv mouthguard. A person who's super recessed shouldn't immediately try to wear reviv XL for 12 hours a day, but should start with wearing a smaller mouthguard for less time. Personally, I've been doing high-intesity thumbpulling with chin-tucks once a day 4 sets for each third of the palatte for 4 months now and I've gotten massive results. Also, it takes me literally 5 minutes a day, so that's great stuff.

How long did it take for you all to get used to reviv and sleeping with it?
How long did it take for you all to get used to reviv? I have reviv 1 as this is my first time using a product like this. I'm trying to wear it for 2-3 hours a day but I cant close my mouth comfortably so I don't know how I would ever be able to sleep with it overnight if I'm drooling lol. What have you done to make it more comfortable? Are the lips supposed to close completely? Is the tongue supposed to push against the tongue tab or sit on top of it? I don't know how I can continue to mew comfortably with it in my mouth especially at night while I sleep. I feel like I'll just open my mouth and possibly start snoring and breathing through my mouth which is exactly what I don't want obviously. Any advice would be truly appreciated as I don't want to give up. Thank you in advance.

Generally, you're supposed to rest your tongue on the tab/mew and have the mouth close, but you don't need to worry about tongue position or open mouth, as it will sort itself over time. Just wear reviv as long as you can everyday. Personally, it took me about 2 weeks to get used to sleeping with it, but it differs from person to person.

@G C I still droll a bit when sleeping on the side, but I just wipe the saliva off, cause it's part of the process. Eventually we should get enough mouth space that this won't happen. Though it can reoccur on reviv 3 XL since it's bigger. I still wear Reviv 2 large though, because I think it's reasonable to max out what you can do with it before going for bigger mouthguard.
