I wanted to share my latest training with you as soon as I could. I must warn you that it has not been edited, so excuse my uhms and moments of stuttering. This will be edited later and made available for YouTube. Also, you will hear me insert my own little commercial interjections, inviting more nonprofit leaders into our community.🙃 Remember, a nonprofit is a "public" entity; therefore, I have grabbed and attached a couple of filed long-form 990s from the organization I am referring to. I encourage you to take a look and know for yourself. You can even look up your own nonprofit to see the status. Lastly, we are almost at the end of the year, and if your organization's fiscal year ends on December 31, you will have 4 months to file your annual 990s for 2025. This is where collaborative partnerships or simply being a resource acting as a case manager comes in. I will send a video later to explain more. But for now I will share 2 resources you may want to offer to your community. The case study is captured for your nonprofit because you have an intake portion that offers a test or survey of needs that the community member has. The resources I will share could be offered if applicable. But you don’t just send them, you help with the entire process. Kind of like hand holding to make sure they don’t get overwhelmed with the process and stop. And of course challenges will come when they are enrolled in a specific program so support and accountability is critical. Then upon completion there is the job application process. Yes, these other programs may help but you know the whole picture and they trust you more. Maybe there is a continuation of life skills training and that inner circle support. Ok hopefully you get what I’m saying by now. Don’t forget gender is not as important as it used to be when it comes to the construction and other trade industries.
