European Christmas Markets
🎄 Christmas in Europe: Quick Market + Lifestyle Update Hey everyone! I’ve been spending the season in Europe, and since a lot of you are curious about the lifestyle + market side of things over here, here’s a little update. The Christmas markets have taken over nearly every city — Vienna, Prague, Munich, Strasbourg, Lisbon — and the energy is incredible. Picture streets lit up with warm lights, vendors selling handmade goods, mulled wine on every corner, and crowds that feel like a mix of locals, expats, and travelers who came for the vibes and stayed for the glühwein. From a market perspective, here’s what’s interesting right now: - Tourism is booming for the holidays, which always spikes short-term rental demand. - Local small businesses do extremely well this month — it’s basically a built-in micro-economy. - Expat/relocation interest increases this time of year because people come for holiday travel and end up exploring lifestyle options more seriously. - Housing stock is tight in many major cities (Lisbon, Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna) but interest remains strong because of the overall quality-of-life pull. - Buyers are asking more questions about visas, taxes, and long-term stability, especially Americans and Brits. What I love most is how livable Europe feels during the holidays. Even with the crowds, there’s a slower, community-driven rhythm — and a lot of people start imagining what it would feel like to live here long-term. If any of you are curious about cross-border trends, what clients are asking me right now, or what the relocation pipeline looks like going into January, feel free to ask. Happy to share what I’m seeing on the ground. Hope you’re all having an amazing December — wherever you are in the world. 🎄✨
