Happy birthday Bruno!!!!!!!
Been gone for a little bit guys. Not due to bad things happening or laziness but actually good things. Little bit of traveling, little bit of self awareness, some self work and of course actual work. But wanted to take the time to wish Bruno a very happy birthday. And thank you for bringing us all together to learn from each other. As I say with my office and others around me your network is your net worth. And with the amount of knowledge in so many different areas and perspectives on all these different topic my net worth have multiplied. So again thank you Bruno for creating this group and forum. And I hope I’ll have a day filled with love, joy, happiness and excitement.

🔥 Monday Inspiration 2/5: Level 2 – PERMISSION 🤝🏾
Continuing our Monday Inspiration series: John Maxwell’s 5 Levels of Leadership (1 level per week). 😎 Last week, we talked about Level 1 – Position. Now we move to level 2: Permission (Relationships). At this stage, people follow you because they want to. Not because of your title. Not because of your authority. But because they trust you. They like you. They value the relationship. According to Maxwell, leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts; it is about influence. Level 2 is where influence starts becoming real. This level is built on: Listening well, being empathetic, supporting your team, communicating clearly, creating trust, and treating people with respect. At Level 2, you realize leadership is about connection before correction. (Huge one to keep in mind). People don’t give you permission to lead because you’re perfect. They give you permission because they feel seen, heard, and valued. This level builds trust. And trust builds culture. So the questions to reflect on and answer below are: • When was the last time you intentionally listened without interrupting or fixing? • What is one relationship where you can show more consistency this week? • Who have you not checked in with recently? • Would people describe you as supportive? Position gives you a seat. Permission gives you influence. Let’s grow. Let’s build stronger relationships this week. 💪🏽 PS: If you have a few extra minutes, check out these posts from the community: Matthias - Click here. - Jump. Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the clarification, @Bruno Militz! I agree that some people thrive under strong authority and others (all fingers pointed at me!) don't. Once discovered that the team I was leading wanted to be told what to do and when. I got out quick, as I strongly prefer working with people who are self-directed and thinking for themselves. 😇

@Bruno Militz, it came up in a conversation with one individual. I then went out and individually asked everyone else. I knew I wasn't a great cultural fit on that team, but it really hit hard when I found out how completely outnumbered I was.
⭐️ Life Update ⭐️ and next step, I hope you're as excited as I am 😎
Quick heads-up before you read anything below: watch the video first 😅 Without it, this caption won’t make sense. In the video I share the a quick life update, what the last months have looked like, and why I’m genuinely fired up right now… because a new journey starts tomorrow. Now here’s the perspective I wanted to add. (after you watched the video...) On Friday, I called my supervisor, and we talked for 40 minutes before I even officially started. Why? Because I’ve never been the type to walk into an opportunity without first understanding what “greatness” looks like. I don’t want to guess. I don’t want to wing it. I want to know the standard, the expectations, and the best way to win. So today I’m reading and studying 15–20 documents to be even more ready for tomorrow. That’s the kind of leadership I respect. The kind of preparation I respect. The kind of effort that makes people want to work with you. And that’s also why I created this community. To remind each other that we can always give a little more than what’s expected, and we’ll usually receive more than we even imagined, because we’re becoming the type of person who earns it. Jim Rohn often cited the biblical principle: “You reap what you sow.” Whatever you’re reaping right now is what you’ve been sowing. And if you don’t like the crop, the answer is in the mirror. Sow bad, reap bad. Sow good, reap good. And here’s the kicker: you never reap what you sow; you reap more. It multiplies, positive or negative. So I’m choosing to sow preparation, discipline, and leadership. Because that’s the crop I want. For years, I’ve heard people complain that their boss is an asshole. My perspective: if you show up lazy, unprepared, and entitled, your boss will probably feel like an asshole to you. But if you show up sharp, proactive, and dependable, the whole relationship changes. Wish me luck in this next journey. We’re walking through it together. My question for you: Looking at your life right now, what’s ONE area where you could give just 1% more this week? This month? This year?

Accountability Checkpoint ✅ Watch the recording + do this for YOU
Happy Sunday 😎 At the end of last year / beginning of this year, we had two big posts (here & here) and exercises around goal setting. The goal was never for you to copy/paste anything, but to build your own version so you have something real to work with. Yesterday we had our first Accountability Call of 2026. If you couldn’t make it, please watch the recording whenever you can so you understand the exercise and how to use it for yourself. Here’s why this matters: Most people set goals… and then life hits, schedules change, motivation goes down, and suddenly it’s March and they’re “starting over.” or just never doing it anymore. That’s why a checkpoint is so powerful. It’s you stopping for a couple hours (this weekend or next) to ask: ﹥What’s working? ﹥What’s not working? ﹥What needs to be adjusted? ﹥What do I need to recommit to? This is how you stay in the long game that we've been talking about. And the biggest reminder of all: Accountability is for YOU. Not for me, not for the community, not for a coach. It’s to hold yourself accountable, because you’re the one who will live with the results of what you do (or don’t do) this year. To make it easier, I’m attaching two examples of how I revised key areas in my own life. You can follow the same format or make it your own. I wrote quick feedback after each item and marked it ✅ if done, ⚠️ if it needs work, or if I need to readjust and re-plan. Don’t do this for me. Do it for yourself. I genuinely can’t wait to get to December and celebrate wins we planned back in January. In the meantime, let's continue celebrating small checkpoints, monthly wins, weekly wins, daily wins (confidence builders)... Consistency proves what’s possible. We can do ANYTHING we want when we stay aligned and accountable. Question: How do you feel about your goals so far?

Rohn: Set goals, not for what you will get but for what you will become. We often miss this. When young, I got frustrated that my dreams weren't coming true because I fixated on getting the bucket list outcomes. When I started working on the skills, knowledge, relationships and reputation that would get me to the outcomes, everything changed.

@Bruno Militz, for me it was a much more gradual process rather than sudden realization. In my early 30s, I had a series of experiences and teachers which helped gradually push me into the new mindset. Even today, though, I can forget, though, so in many ways, I'm still learning it!
🔥 Monday Inspiration 1/5: Level 1 – POSITION 🎖️
Starting a new Monday Inspiration series: John Maxwell’s 5 Levels of Leadership (1 level per week for the next 5 Mondays). 😎 (I hope you enjoy it) This framework answers three important questions: • Where am I as a leader right now? • How do I get to the next level? • Where should I ultimately aim to be? Maxwell teaches something simple but transformational: Leadership is not about titles or positions. It’s about influence. 5 Levels of Leadership: Each level builds on the one before it. You can’t skip levels. And you don’t “arrive” permanently. You move up or down based on what you earn. >Let's quickly talk about level 1 (video gives better perspective): Level 1 is Position (Rights). At this stage, people follow you because they have to. You have the title. The role. The authority. But here’s the "situation": Anyone can be appointed to a position, which tells us nothing about their leadership quality. When leaders stay at Level 1 too long, they rely on rules, policies, and authority to get things done. And what happens? People put in the least effort. They comply, but they don’t commit. They follow when watched, not when trusted. The biggest goal here is: Build real leadership by leading yourself first. Practicing emotional intelligence, becoming more approachable, adapting to individual needs rather than treating everyone the same, and developing real management skills rather than relying on authority. Level 1 is not “bad.” It’s part of the foundation. We've all been there. What do you think about Position-based leadership? Are you currently leading from title or authority in any area of your life? Do you see someone around you relying heavily on position? Where can you personally improve so people follow you because they want to, rather than because they have to? Let's have a fantastic week 💪🏽

If we think of influence like money, position only comes in $1,000 bills. When you pull it out, it commands instant respect. And it depletes resources faster than anything else. Being such a large denomination, __never__ waste it on the small stuff; only pull it out when you're playing for the really big wins. Inexperienced leaders pull it out all the time, highlight it in their bios, announce themselves as "doctor", humble brag, etc. and don't realize they're destroying their own brand. Experienced leaders know that others sense when you're just throwing your weight around and respect stops cold.

I'm glad you like it, @Bruno Militz. I'm not sure if resisting using Position is maturity, humility, reading the room properly, or perhaps seeing someone use it wrong. There are several levers of influence, including position, authority, reward, etc. Personally, I don't think leadership is about any of them, though leaders might use them. For me, leadership boils down to: the leader is the person who sees the furthest and communicates the clearest. Clear communication of what will serve the group best in the longest frame almost always wins… with me, anyway. 😇
