Merry Christmas everyone
We're calling this class 'Silent Scream'. Thank you @Ciara Luskin for sharing this new pose with us. It's an amazing pose for strengthening & supporting around the Tmj joint, tongue, back of the throat & mouth. We also practiced those poses that are perfect for across the table at Christmas dinner. We've been preparing our FY poses all year for this very day. Feel free to post up a Christmas Face Yoga pose at the dinner if you fancy it for the craic. This class from today is usually only accessible to Premium members but I'm gifting you all this class for the season that's in it. Merry Christmas everyone. Take care and mind yourselves. Class next week is themed 'DESTRESS'.

Great class, thanks Irene. Really powerful for the jaw muscles etc. I have recently noticed that my clicky jaw is no more! And today's poses felt really good. Sensitive in many places, but the massaging felt spot on. My face feels wonderful. Thanks so much! See you in a couple of weeks. Enjoy Athlone! 🙏

Beauty tips in this Sundays LIVE class
I am preparing for Sundays class and I think it would be nice to give the face a good cleanse this time of year. This class is still really beneficial for those of you who need a tension released. Your face will feel heated and energised after this class. If any of you have questions please feel free to ask Look forward to seeing you on Sunday

sounds great thanks Irene. Do we need to bring any potions for cleansing, or is the cleansing done through the massaging/lymph node drainage etc?
How do you breath?
Do you breath through your nose or your mouth? Face yoga can help with this. Ideally we breath through our nose. Our nose has hairs in them called vibrissae & cilia that filter out particles, dust and humidifies the air temperature. It also promotes better oxygenation & helps with the absorption of nitric oxide in the body. Nose breathing naturally fights viruses and infection. Mouth breathing bypasses all of these things which makes you more susceptible to getting sick. If you struggle with nose breathing then join today's class. We will focus on stimulating the adenoids and helping with opening the nasal airways which can improve nasal breathing. There will also be other techniques that will touch on the jaw and mouth area. It's all connected anyway See you soon

I found that class fascinating @Irene Dunne . All these interconnected parts of our face, head, shoulders, chest, which affect our sinuses and our breathing. You used a phrase - 'It's like opening the windows to my lungs' and I definitely felt a shift in the ease of my breathing through my nose, at the end of the class, compared to the start of the class. And how on earth do you remember the technical names of all those muscles??!! Thanks again for a great class, lots of learning, and lots of ideas to work into my (short!) daily face massage 🙏
