Scripture Reveal Wk 17(day 1)
The stark comparison in Proverbs that a person without self-control is “like a city whose walls are broken through”(Proverbs 25:28) vividly illustrates that protective nature of this virtue. Self-control serves as our spiritual defense system, guarding our hearts and lives against harmful influences. Like walls that protect a city from invasion, self-control helps us maintain spiritual and moral integrity in a world full of temptations.

An amazing fruit of the spirit. This ties into impulse control too. Sometimes, we speak without thinking, act without thinking, make decisions without thinking, etc., without yielding, and because we feel it's right (at the moment). I'm guilty.

Week 17 --7 Day Challenge Self-Control & Spiritual Strength (day 1)
Day 1: Guard Your Spirit Scripture: Book of Proverbs 25:28 "A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. " Reflection (Get Moving): Step outside for a 5–10 minute walk. As you walk, ask yourself: What areas of my life feel unprotected or out of control right now? Notice what comes to mind as you breathe fresh air and move your body. Action Plan – Help Someone: Send an encouraging message or call someone who may be struggling emotionally. Let them know they are not alone. Prayer to Share: “Lord, help me rebuild the walls of my life through Your wisdom. Teach me discipline, peace, and strength today. Help me encourage someone else who may feel weak. Amen. ”

Week 17 Self-Control beginning...
As we embark on a new week. Let's mediate on this statement... THIS WEEK, LET’S EXAMINE OUR APPROACH TO SELF-CONTROL. ARE WE TRYING TO MASTER OURSELVES THROUGH MERE WILLPOWER, OR ARE WE LEARNING TO RELY ON GOD’S GRACE AND SPIRIT? HOW MIGHT OUR EFFECTIVENESS INCREASE IF WE VIEWED SELF-CONTROL AS A GIFT TO DEVELOP RATHER THAN A BURDEN TO BEAR? LET’S PRACTICE SUBMITTING OUR IMPULSES TO GOD’S CONTROL, REMEMBERING THAT TRUE SELF-CONTROL COMES THROUGH YIELDING TO HIS SPIRIT’S WORK IN OUR LIVES.

Scripture Reveal Wk16 (day 5)
The call to be “faithful, even to the point of death”(Revelations 2:10) challenges us to maintain faithfulness even when it costs us something. This isn’t about earning God’s favor but about demonstrating the reality of our faith. Like a tree that reveals its strength by withstanding storms, our faithfulness proves most valuable when tested by difficulties
