🚨Turo says “File a police report” 😳
Short & Sweet Version: 🚗 A guest rented a vehicle with an airport pickup. Their flight was delayed until 0-dark-thirty, so I provided the code early to ease the process. Then the flight was canceled, the guest didn’t show/respond to the messages, and I cancelled the trip. I went to pick up the vehicle BUT it was gone 🤷🏾♂️ I couldn’t contact the guest because I cancelled the trip and Turo couldn’t get a hold of them either and informed me to file a stolen vehicle report 📋 I know from the training videos that’s the LAST resort soooo….. ☎️ I called @Trevor Calais for insight. The cancelled trip left me two options: 🚔 Police Report 🚛 Repo I decided to repo with class 😂 It was an older females AND she rented a car seat… We picked up the car with zero issues….after some explaining on their end AND I crashed a SWEET 16 Party with a repo 🤦🏾♂️ 📝 Lesson NEVER cancel a trip, you’ll lose the option for Turo to handle things with their team/insurance etc. I know you have questions like: do you have trackers (yes), how did you tow it? why did you cancel? etc and all questions have legitimate answers BUT the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) is don’t cancel the trip until you have the vehicle.
