Need help, mystery background recording noise
Hello! I'm starting over/retooling (VO biz). I need someone to review a short recording, as in hire a pro to do this. The problem I'm having is a faint background noise. I need to record at a higher level but if I do the mystery noise (sounds like a very faint A/C) is more prominent. I live in a very quiet location & am in a temporary booth made of PVC pipes & moving blankets covered with/foam tiles on the interior. I've tried turning everything off, heat pump, refrigerator etc. There's no traffic around here. I am using a Neumann mic, a Focusrite interface, Adobe Audition recording on a MacBook Air. Does VO Masterclass perform this sort of service? A side note, I will be converting a walk-in closet into a studio, thick 2" foam panels etc. Help, hired or free, will be greatly appreciated.

Very simple, I highlight a small portion of my waveform where it is very quiet, go to EFFECTS/NOISE REDUCTION RESTORATION then click on CAPTURE NOISE PRINT. I then highlight the entire waveform, go back to EFFECTS/NOISE REDUCTION RESTORATION then click on DENOISE. I leave it set for what I've shown in the pic. It has worked so well that Professor Peter Baker himself told me during a coaching session that the technical aspect of my recording was perfectly fine with no issues. It should be noted that occasionally doing this can result in my voice recording sound like I'm under water. When this happens I just go back and either choose another portion of the waveform to highlight or I highlight a smaller portion. I'm sure you'll feel your way through this and get the hang of it.

Demo Length
For a demo tape, how long should it be? How many seconds should a portion of a radio ad I did in the past should I include? How long should each segment of the demo be? 🤔
