@Jon Kelly I’ll see your Claude dismissal and raise you a Claude Code! Also, I wouldn’t be so quick to label Claude as just a chatbot. Claude 3.7 Sonnet is a hybrid model with reasoning and multimodal capabilities. You also bring up an interesting point with respect to what is considered a tool and what isn’t. If an LLM is being called via API to perform a specific function…wouldn’t that effectively make its function tool-like in nature? For that matter, what are agents then? Tools that use tools?

Where do AI integrated IDEs like Cursor, Windsurf, etc appear on this list?
