Hi everyone, I’m Vincent. I moved from Hong Kong to Toronto 2 years ago and have been working as a barista in Toronto cafes/roasteries since then. Now preparing to launch my own coffee school & roastery. I dream of having my own cafe one day.

@Juan Rosenzweig Thanks Juan! I’m actively searching for a commercial unit to rent for my school/roastery and hoping to start teaching classes in late Feb 2026. I’ll be teaching interest classes at home but once my school location is ready, I’ll start teaching SCA certificates (barista, brewing, sensory, coffee technician) as I already have the instructor licence and equipment. I also have a sample roaster and have started micro-roasting. Hoping to get a small batch roaster at my school location and start roasting beans for sale. Cafe is a more distant dream of mine. Renting a unit suitable for cafe business is super expensive in Toronto and the labour cost is also a big obstacle for a startup. Hopefully it will also materialise some day.
