Hello? Anybody there?
I'm curious if anyone is still using Texau reliably. It seems like there's less activity here. I'm just wondering if people are still using it or have given up. I was a huge fan of V1, mainly because it didn't have updates! It's funny when you think about it. People complained about issues and the lack of new features, but it worked! Now, with V2, things break all the time. They fix one thing, and something else breaks. I'm starting to think that whoever is responsible for deploying code to production doesn't understand how B2B software releases work. Let me explain: when you have a product that companies (like us) use as a process, it takes time to train the team, create automation, and align it with other business processes. Then, when your junior developer releases an update that breaks our process, it's a huge pain. For example, they recently changed the Google Search Maps "Extractor," which was working fine, to a new version called Google Search Maps "Export." Which, by the way, it's still not working properly. Now I'm left with both versions not working and will probably have to edit hundreds of automations manually, one by one, because of this name change. Another time, there were similar unnecessary changes, like when they changed the header names of columns in the results. For example, "numberOfReviews" became "Reviews Count," not realizing that such changes break our integrations with other processes. These are just a few examples, but I could easily give 10 more. Guys, I understand you're just starting and trying to launch a real business. But if you want to build solid software for businesses, you need to understand and respect how your users use your product and how it impacts their needs. Please have a better QA review before releasing code. Recently, it got really bad. One last, very basic thing your team should know: I understand you value your weekends, Diwali, or whatever, but don't release new versions just before you leave the office! It's the other way around! You need to be around right after the new code is in production so you can address any issues if something breaks.

Hi @Gabriel Santos I truly appreciate your feedback. I do want to say that we are doing much better compared to V1, business is growing at almost 35% month over month and we are making heavy investments on the Automation testing, documentation and content. This community we built is mainly for our initial adopters so we try to Make sure we communicate with our members at a separate dedicated place. Now coming to your question, I’m very frustrated with Google Maps scraper as well since we also use it a lot. Google maps is continuously bringing lots of new changes every other, you may not notice it but for one location they show list in a different way compared to another location. This Automation is “selector” based which means that we store the selectors of HTML and use that for scraping. Since past 3 weeks selectors are changing way more often and also without proxies our IP addresses even though we rotate it, it is getting flagged as well so we are working on adding a proxy support in this and trying to find a way to automatically grab selectors when they change to make sure they stay up to date. Our agenda for 2025 is to commit 99% uptime for all the automations and Google automations are the most critical for us to achieve that number. I’d request you to give us some time, we are working hard on these automations and you will get a positive email from us in the next 10 days. Once again, I appreciate your honest feedback and support. We are aware of this issue and working on it. Thank you!
Stupidity Carryover from v1
This is a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongstanding issue... When I run Website Finder, wikipedia, bizapedia, instagram.com...there are some pretty obvious wrong answers....maybe add an automatic AI post process to remove them? On the same subject, only taking the business name as input seems pretty lame. It seems like name and postal code would be a good minimum. Per Perplexity, Main Street Cafe and Joe's Pizza have lots of instances in the US.

Google Maps Scraper mostly works but gives incorrect results at times, the problem was after some time, it started to show Captcha and solve "I'm not a robot" - we added captcha solver this week and all Google Automations will be back to working again. I understand the frustration but we have many things to look after and everything is a priority for our customers.

Hi @Ahmidi Fashanu please write an email to support@texau.com
Let’s team up! 🤝
I have a massive data set (60GB+) containing over 400 million LinkedIn profiles! It includes names, locations, personal and business emails, and phone numbers (mobile and landlines) from around the globe. ✨ I'm looking to partner with someone who can create a rest API from this huge dataset. 🚀 I need to make HTTP requests that return quick results. We can use Google Cloud with BigQuery or AWS for this! ☁️ I'll cover hosting costs on my end, and you can access the dataset. I have it available in both JSON and CSV formats.

How recent is this data? 2 years ago someone was selling old LinkedIn data of this same size. many companies have it. Big query solution works, we have implemented that on our side as well.
