@Matthew Lazar is this the book club you mentioned in the call last night? Did you say it’s Sunday evenings?
Self-regulation tools, videos, and information
Hey everyone! I'm updating this thread after today's call on self regulation, here are some of the tools we discussed. Also, the call recording is now posted in the classroom tab. WIM HOF: Starting with the Wim Hof breathing, here's a video of Wim explaining the process. Although you can do this technique alone, you can also do it by following along to the guided breathing video I shared during the call. I also mentioned the benefit of cold exposure as a tool to explore. THere's endless info online from plenty of people, but here's Wim on the benefits of cold exposure. EFT TAPPING: Tapping is a great and easy way to release any traumas or stresses being held within us. Here's a video on how tapping works and a here is a guided tapping session if you'd like to follow along. However, you might get better results when doing this on your own, since the idea is for you to be saying your own statements about your current/specific troubles you are releasing. Also, I LOVE this live workshop of Nick Ortner discussing tapping, even though it's long, I highly recommend it! You can do tapping for any issue - money, guilt, fear, anxiety, loss, anger, feeling aimless or lost, the list goes on. HO'OPONOPONO: Ho'oponopono is an incredible healing process and very easy to practice. I'll provide some guided meditations I enjoy around it, but first, here's an overview of what Ho'oponopono is. Although you can do it alone, or even just say the mantras in your head for a moment (for instance, after seeing somebody in pain, or when fearful or resistant emotions pop up) you can also follow guided ones. The first time I tried this Sandra Rolus guided meditation, I felt a huge emotional release. If you check out her YouTube channel, she has a ton of great ho'oponopono meditations. Last year, I came across this meditation and I really loved it, because this person gives it a little extra flavor with the visualization side. I also love how he tweaked "please forgive me" to "let us forgive each other." I highly recommend giving it a try. There's also this incredibly beautiful ho'oponopono song which I'll often listen to while taking a walk, and just slowly breathing deeply, I find it to be very powerful. I also this looping repetition prayer which is only about 5 minutes long, but it loops for 10 hours. Obviously that's way too long hahah, but often times I will just let it play for a solid 45 minutes, and personally really enjoy it.

I am just seeing this thread. I am familiar with a lot of these tools - especially Ho’oponopono & cold plunging has changed my life. I want to incorporate the breath work more frequently. I have a question about about EFT tapping. I have a tendency to lean towards perfectionism and needing to “get it right”. So this blocks me from tapping. I don’t know exactly what to say when I’m tapping… in theory I get that I. “Can’t get it wrong.” But would love some guidance or insight about how to know what to say when I’m tapping on my own versus following a guided tap Thank you in advance
Thanks for the call tonight, Chris & Community
The group open discussion was just what I needed tonight. Got some clarity and redirection. Thank you for hosting. I’m excited to be part of this group. Couldn’t join the audio/video conversation live because I’m camped and my cell signal was inconsistent. Looking forward to joining again! Wishing everyone a beautiful week✌🏼
