The Time is Now โฐ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hello everyone! I have a few questions about launching my first Skool community. ๐Ÿš€ I believe Iโ€™m overthinking it to some degree (lol ๐Ÿ˜‚), but I want to get your insights on a few things: 1๏ธโƒฃ When do you go from free to a โ€œfreemiumโ€ model? โžก๏ธWhat is the best timeline or member count to make that switch? 2๏ธโƒฃ Should you have rewards and incentives for all levels preset at the beginning? โžก๏ธDo you map out the leaderboard prizes for levels 1-9 on day one, or build them as you go? 3๏ธโƒฃ Do you need legal disclaimers or formal policies in place that require an attorney? โžก๏ธFor example: โ€œThis group does not provide medical adviceโ€ or โ€œThis group doesnโ€™t guarantee XYZ results.โ€ How are you guys handling liability? A bit of context: I donโ€™t have an active email list or an email funnel built yet, so I need to set that up too. Would love to hear how you handled these steps when you first launched. Any advice is appreciated! ๐Ÿ’›

@Auli Takala Thank you so much. I didnโ€™t consider the possibility of someone wanting to go premium right away. You never know so I might as well have the option. Thanks again for your response!

๐Ÿ“ˆ How I've Grown My Community Organically
๐Ÿ“ˆ A few people have asked how I've been growing my community organically, so I thought I'd share what's worked for me. The truth? It's not one big strategy. It's a bunch of small, intentional things that work together over time. Here's what I do... ๐Ÿค I participate in summits, bundles, podcasts, and collaborations where I know my ideal audience is already hanging out. ๐Ÿ“ง Every freebie, product, and offer I create includes an invitation to join my free communityโ€”usually on the thank you page, in the welcome email, or inside the resource itself. ๐ŸŽค Whenever I speak at a summit, I invite people to join my community if they'd like more support after the event. It's free, it's helpful, and it's a natural next step. ๐Ÿ’œ My community has also become the natural "next step" during and after my events. For my last summit, the community was featured as a sponsor, so attendees saw it throughout the event and always knew where they could continue the conversation afterward. ๐Ÿ“ฑ I regularly share my community with my email list and on Facebook (my social platform of choice). ๐ŸŒŸ I spend time in a handful of communities where I genuinely believe my people are hanging out. Not dozens... just a few. And here's the thing... Finding the right communities takes time. It's trial and error. Some are a great fit. Some aren't. Sometimes life gets busy and I disappear for a few weeks... and that's okay too. I simply come back when I have more time. For me, community growth has never been about one viral post. It's been about consistently showing up, building relationships, and making it easy for people to stay connected after they discover me. ๐Ÿ’ฌ I'd love to know... What's one thing you've done that's helped grow your community organically?

๐Ÿšจ Warning >> Remove links from your About Page (This is a big one)
This was probably the most important announcement on Skoolers today!! Skool said communities with external links in their About Page will begin being penalized in Discovery. That includes things like: - Calendly - Linktree - Websites - Google Docs - Other communities Their data shows those links reduce conversion because people leave instead of joining. If you're relying on Discovery or Growth Boost, this is worth fixing today.

Fun way to showcase your Skool
I discovered a prompt in a group on one of the other platforms...but IT REALLY NEEDED THAT SKOOL TOUCH.. LOL. This one was fun.. I have found my business home at SKOOL. #skoolingforlife I received a few requests for the prompt, but I have to give credit I got this one from Teresa Coleman of aidigital_impact I tweaked the original prompt to lead with Skool, my handle, and the platforms I use. Have fun I would love to see what you do with it. Create a premium 3D social media icon collection featuring the SAME elegant Black woman across every icon tile. STYLE: Ultra-realistic 3D render. Luxury app icon aesthetic. Rounded square glossy tiles with soft shadows and smooth gradients. Modern, polished, high-end digital branding look. Clean studio lighting. Hyper-detailed skin texture. Professional fashion photography quality. Consistent facial features across all icons. SUBJECT: Beautiful confident Black woman with medium-dark skin tone, natural glam makeup, warm smile, sophisticated and professional appearance, wearing stylish luxury business fashion. Maintain the SAME woman in every tile with identical facial structure, hairstyle, skin tone, age appearance, and overall identity consistency. POSES: Use different subtle professional poses in each icon tile, including: arms crossed pointing holding a location pin hand gesture smiling confidently casual professional pose looking toward camera holding phone confident lifestyle/business pose WARDROBE: Each tile features a different bold luxury suit color: orange red striped navy powder blue royal blue emerald green purple yellow teal Include elegant accessories such as bracelets, earrings, luxury business styling, and polished lifestyle details. LAYOUT: Create a clean 3x3 grid layout of rounded social media app icons with consistent spacing and alignment. ICON ORDER: Arrange the icons in this exact order from left to right, top to bottom: Skool TikTok Instagram YouTube Google Maps LinkedIn WhatsApp Facebook Threads IMPORTANT ICON CHANGE: Do not include X/Twitter anywhere in the design. Replace X/Twitter with my handle text: [your handle] The handle should appear as a premium branded detail on one of the icon tiles, designed like a sleek social media username badge, not as a separate platform logo. BACKGROUND: Soft neutral luxury background with subtle depth and studio lighting. DESIGN DETAILS: Glossy 3D icon surfaces. Soft reflections. App-store quality rendering. Vibrant but elegant color palette. High contrast. Premium branding aesthetic. Clean composition. Consistent spacing and alignment. CAMERA: Centered portrait framing. Medium shot. Straight-on angle. QUALITY: 8K ultra-detailed render. Sharp focus. Cinematic lighting. Professional advertising campaign quality. CRITICAL CONSISTENCY REQUIREMENT: Do not change facial features between tiles. Keep the same Black woman throughout the entire collection. Preserve consistent skin tone, hairstyle, facial structure, makeup style, and overall identity across all nine icons.
