Update... So my client ended up choosing another doula but he was courteous enough to let me know that that's what he was doing. So it's still a win. I learned lots and I'll keep moving forward

So I had my very first consult with a client yesterday. I feel like it went really well, I tried to follow the heart method. I was able to relax a bit and just be myself. I feel like the client was able to do the same, as he was very open and vulnerable with me. He did agree that he needed at least 3 months to work on his issues. However, he didn't sign up yesterday. We had agreed that I would email him in a couple of days to follow up and answer any questions. Later on I rethought that and I sent him another email requesting we set a time to meet by zoom. I felt like that was the right decision. I haven't heard back from him yet, but I have my fingers crossed. If he doesn't agree to zoom now then hopefully we can arrange something. Over the weekend. I learned a lot and I'm taking this as a win. There's lots of room for improvement but it also could have gone way worse
