Sam mentioned sending a link about “picking up other people’s burdens” which would be immensely helpful for myself at the moment please 🙏

I found the bit at 1:26 where Sam said if we’re not compassionate to ourselves we’re not a nice person extremely hurtful. I’ve always thought I was a nice person, people say I’m nice, I’ve been a nurse, I volunteered for a year helping others; I’ve sacrificed myself for family: I really don’t understand, this work is too confusing. This makes me feel I’m broken beyond hope 😭

I hope everyone is ok. I've been absent for a while as I have been working through a life decision that wasn't easy. Yesterday we took my gorgeous girl for end of life care. This is a decision that took a long time to come to and one we kept putting off. Eventually, I used coaching techniques to come to the right answer and then parts journalling to help work it through. The house is quiet today and it feels a strange place to be. But she is now not locked in with doggie dementia, full of anxiety and fear. It was the right thing to do, she was pacing constantly on my wooden floors, not hearing that makes the house so very quiet. My other old girl who is now 16 appears to quite like the bed to herself and not being sat on or squashed. I'm on annual leave this week so can just meet life as it is, drop in and be kind to myself. And if you are after something to watch i can recommend Another Self on Netflix..it may just resonate ✨️ x

SUCCESS!
Not MB related, but just wanted to update those on the Nourishing Natter last week - I am being referred for a CT Scan! The consultant was once again dismissive in many ways and believes I have post nasal drip or acid reflux causing the fluid on the chest. But I remained calm and when he asked at the end if I had any questions I asked why he was ruling out a scan when the Dr has requested one, the physio requested one and I have mentioned on numerous occasions my left lung is worse than my right for symptoms. He gave me an almost ‘eye roll’ and said ‘oh ok then I’ll refer you a non urgent one’. I have many words I want to say about his attitude, but I shall journal them instead 🤬🤬🤬😭😅

That’s great news and I hope the scan went well and you get some answers 🤗
Not feeling good enough 😔
Little share in this video on where I'm at this week... 👇 A subtle but ever present feeling of not being good enough that manifests as overthinking, overworking, perfectionism and more 🫣 I forgot to add before finding this much needed Nidra/mediation (below) I filled a large tub of peanut butter with granola, chunks of dark chocolate, salted nuts and was heading to the sofa 😂 A part of me realised "this isn't the answer" and I put it back and actually nourished myself. It is becoming clear to me is that doing excessively is not living. In fact it's a resistance to life. And it keeps me heading back to my comforts. Whereas trusting ourselves, just being, spontaneity and adventure in amongst the daily responsibilities... that's living 🫶 Here's the guided session I did 👇 https://vimeo.com/1154320173/9b274ebc7e

Interestingly, on my walk this morning, I realised that the pendulum has swung too much the other way. I’ve been ignoring my daily responsibilities for admin, a structured schedule and getting out exploring. I still don’t feel good enough 🤗
