Mic Stand or Headset?
When doing your live shows, do you prefer a mic stand or headset? I’m old school (NYC comedy clubs is where I cut my teeth) so I like a mic stand. Some vents like a head set because they can move freely. So what’s everyone’s preference?
I use sennheiser or shure headsets with Bose speakers. The quality of sound is amazing and sound people like to work with them.
Blue Humor
How does this group feel about blue humor? (In comedy clubs and other adult audience settings). It’s fun for shock effect but too much of it makes an audience tired and frankly makes for lazy comedy in my opinion. (Especially if you want to write performer on your tax return). Yeah, it’s funny when puppets say shocking things, but they don’t always have to be blue. Audiences like funny, clever and relatable. And it makes you more marketable. What are the groups thoughts on this subject? (No four letter words please 😂).
It’s not my style of humor. I’m more goofy. Everybody’s got their own preference. I don’t judge. Live and let live ☺️
Presentations
For those of you who do edutainment, what are some of the topics you’ve presented on, and how did it go over the your young audience?
I did schools for many years. Had an anti bully show, a reading show, a geography show and a bilingual show. I loved it. Assemblies were always my favorite venue

I fell in love with ventriloquism in my 30’s and almost 30 years later, I have been blessed to perform professionally with it
