Anybody know if slabbing is coming to Macro Studio? This would really help with editing.

@Ryan Cush that sounds good. If the stack is more than about 20 images, in Helicon I will slab in 5 image stacks in method C (pmap) and then do all the images method B (dmax). Then use the method C slabs to retouch the method B stack. The more input images there are the bigger the slabs, ideally end up with about 5-10 slabs to edit from. Overlap in slabs just 1 or 2.
Finally, the cuckoo wasps are back in my garden! 🪲✨
Every summer I hope they'll return, and this year I was lucky enough to find several of them again. Their metallic colors are simply incredible, shifting between emerald green, turquoise, magenta and gold depending on the angle of the light. These images were taken handheld, and for some of the closer shots I also used a Raynox DCR-250 to achieve even higher magnification. Over the past months I've spent countless hours refining my macro lighting. After many prototypes, I designed and 3D-printed my own diffuser to create the softest, most natural-looking light possible. This image is one of the first where I feel everything finally came together. I'd really appreciate your honest feedback before I consider this image finished. What do you think works well, and what would you improve? Thanks for taking the time to look! 😊

You are indeed very lucky to have them in your garden. I've never seen one in real life. Are there any specific flowers they seem to prefer?
Playing with the macroshots.
Sometimes when I have been shooting lightning fast bees, and succeded wit some nice shots, I cant help to come to the conclution that it is much to static. On the other hand, I dont want them blurred by motion. For the fun of it, I have been playing around in Photoshop with a coupple of them. I think it was fun to do. Are anybody else playing with their photos that way?

Fun to do but IMO it doesn't really add anything to the photo.
Slime mold releasing some spores
When I first saw this Didymium under the microscope, I immediately thought it would make for an interesting image with all those spores breaking away. I actually captured this photo quite a while ago, but I kept putting off the edit because I knew it was going to be a real pain. And it was! But I’m really happy with how it turned out and I love the sense of motion frozen in time. This one is a Didymium squamulosum measuring about 1.5mm. This image is a stack of 171 photos taken at a 10:1 magnification ratio, which is equivalent to 20:1 on full frame.
