Judo Is Terrifying
To be honest, I’ve found that in the early stages, wrestling tends to get more takedowns than Judo. But over time, when you compare a high-level judoka and a high-level wrestler, they’re both absolutely terrifying. At the elite level, you really can’t say one is better than the other.

Two things I noticed: 1. The double-leg didn’t work well against the judoka since both were wearing gis. 2. If the judoka didn’t engage, then in a real situation you wouldn’t be submitted so easily—you could just stand back up, create space, run, or start kicking.
Choose Peace, not Violence, as Well, Real Fights Are Terrifying.

Risky, but if you get the right grips with padding underneath . . . it works!
Mashahiko Kimura doing Osoto Gari
Found some old footage of Kimura doing O Soto. Notice the foot step placement. It's not that deep. Certainly not even with his opponents foot. https://youtube.com/shorts/zSQqe63yQjM?si=zQIZEB-qPskljiBp

It looks like they used some AI, but the attention to detail is impressive — he actually understands the technique. And part of why it looks so good is that Kimura himself was a hulking monster of a man. He was big, strong, and built for that kind of power.
