This chapter will hit close to home. What we discussed: Chapter 2 introduces Paul as our "Thoughtology" professor. We dove into strongholds. Repeated thoughts that turn into default beliefs. These are thoughts that show up automatically. They feel permanent and unremovable. “I’m just an anxious person.” "This is how I’ve always been.” “Nothing ever really changes.” A thought repeated long enough starts to feel true. Over time, it stops getting questioned. That’s where the damage happens. These thoughts influence decisions, reactions, and expectations. You don’t remove a stronghold by pretending it isn’t there. You identify the lie and replace it with truth. That process takes repetition. That’s the work. Next: Chapter 3 Old Lies, New Truth. Looking forward to next week's call! We kicked off our book discussion with the Intro to "Winning the War In Your Mind" and one simple truth: Anxiety is real. And you’re not alone. Great session! I am very familiar with CBT as my 2025 counseling sessions utilized this type of therapy. I found it helpful.

Yes it is! And is directly related to stress...which is a silent killer. We have to pay attention to our bodies, our mind, and our thoughts.
