The Applied Computer Science Master's Program at SEMO focuses on experiential learning of modern technologies like Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Analytics and AI. The aim is to apply computing skills to solve business problems and drive business decisions. For the past 3 years through the Ministry of Business, Trade and Cooperatives, I have been involved in providing technical solutions to challenges faced by businesses, to increase their efficiency, productivity and profit. I have no doubt that this program will increase my knowledge and expertise so I can proffer better expert solutions to business problems and to also help businesses make better informed IT decisions.

I've actually put some money aside for this purpose and my mother will also be assisting financially. We both manage my late Father's Estate. I've also secured employment on campus, which should help with my living expenses and reduce the financial burden. I also have investments and stocks that can easily be liquidated.

After my last interview, I thought there might have been reservations about my finances. I can also assure you that my resolve in getting a US education has only gotten stronger and I'm still fully committed to coming back home because of my family, friends, family business and the opportunities that await me.

One of the major reasons I chose to study at South East Missouri State University is because their Applied Computer Science Master's Program is very hands-on, it focuses more on the technical aspects of Computer Science that drives business decisions, and most of the faculty have very extensive academic and industrial experience. Also, the program mixes business with computing, which means that you'll get to learn business skills and management and how to apply computing skills to solve business problems. It's also very commendable that their business programs ranks among the top 5% in the world. Again, through their corporate partnerships they place you in actual business situations where you'll get to apply classroom knowledge and concepts. Finally, their College of Business and Computing, which offers the program I am going for, is recognized and accredited by bodies like the CAC (Computing Accreditation Commission), the NSA, Homeland security and some others.
