Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:24 Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

Proverbs 3:1–3 My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of life [worth living] And tranquility and prosperity [the wholeness of life’s blessings] they will add to you. Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you [instead let these qualities define you]; Bind them [securely] around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart

Verse 11: Wisdom will extend your life, making every year more fruitful than the one before. Verse 12: So it is to your advantage to be wise. But to ignore the counsel of wisdom is to invite trouble into your life.
