Introduction
Hey everyone 👋 Happy to join the group. I’m Brian, pretty new to GuitarZoom and here mainly to learn the basics the right way and understand how people are actually producing pro-quality music consistently. Right now I’m focused on: - understanding the process clearly - learning what matters vs what’s just noise - staying consistent and improving step by step Curious to hear from you👇 What’s one thing you wish you knew when you first joined this community? Appreciate being here and excited to learn from you all 🙏

@Nova Brian I don't put much effort into marketing my music... I decided that since this is my art and my therapy, I'm no longer bothered by this game. Even more so with AI music topping the charts... I used to run ads and such. Now I just share videos organically. Some buy my albums, some stream... What about you? Are you making music and have fans and so on?

@Nova Brian sounds like you already work with AI and artists.
Tips on mixing acoustic guitar?
Hey everyone! Does anyone have any tips on mixing acoustic guitar after recording? Thanks 🎶

Depends what you're looking for. For example, a common practice is to record acoustic guitars in stereo and pan each one @Hugh Miller

@Hugh Miller my pleasure. How did you get on with it?
Fat fingers ?
I’m only about 3 months into learning guitar . Can anyone tell me what the secret is to keeping one’s fingers off strings that are open on a chord ?

@John Williamson any improvement?

@John Williamson maybe you can swap one with a classical guitar? Classical guitars have wider neck.

Slow is good! Pay attention to your fretting hand's little finger (pinky) - it runs away, and that can be tricky when you play it faster. It's a common habit most guitarists do (I had it as well...). You can fix it by first being aware of it, then limiting its movement so it stays close. Makes sense, @Karl Stone

❤️🎸 I help guitar players become fluent across the fretboard so they can improvise & compose confidently without wasting hours on aimless practice
