Disc Golf w/ Dog
This might be a fun training opportunity. So I recently got into disc (frisbee) golf and there is a course behind my house. I took Tigger tonight and played 3 holes. It was wild to say the least. The process is throw the frisbee, walk to it and throw again. I have him sit and stay but the violence of throwing a “toy” really gets him going and he takes off for about 10 feet but comes back. I need a hard stay. Are there tips or drills for stay command in the wild, especially when you’re throwing something the dog wants to go after?

@Elizabeth Hottenstein He was pooped afterwards so great exercise.
Elevated dog beds
Do you recommend the elevated dog beds for training for a place to put and stay out of the way?

I’ve had luck keeping the elevated dog bed out all of the time without any unintended consequences. Having it out all the time allows for me to quickly have a place to put him if I’m cooking, someone comes to the door, or I have another chore to do. Generally my dog doesn’t go on it unless I tell him to place. However, in the few instances he has gone up there without me telling him, he won’t get off until I give him the command 😂. He traps himself sometimes.
Cats & squirrels & rabbits, oh my!
Tigger has always been a very reactive dog on leash. Anything can trigger him depending on his mood. Sometimes it’s barking, sometimes just a lot of huffing/whining. I’ve been successful with avoiding the triggers (going the other way/walking wide and redirecting but sometimes I don’t catch the trigger in time (parking lot cats hiding under cars 😂). I want to build on this and recently found videos called “Look at That” training. I expect there are a lot of tips/tricks involved in timing and threshold so he isn’t being praised after the reaction. Has anyone tried this training or have thoughts?
PHOTO & NAME OF OUR GROUP MEMBERS' DOGS
**When you get a super quick moment (won't take long), please add a brief visual post here solely focused on sharing a PHOTO OR TWO of each of your dog. Upload one or two photos per dog, pick your favorite pictures from your photo albums AND REMIND US OF THEIR NAME, as well. That's all! I'd love to have an ongoing "photo album" of this learning group's pups! After all, these are all of our "CONFETTI DOGS!" I'll start for me and April. ALSO...please try to do one dog at a time if you have more than one dog...like I'm doing below.

TIGGER aka “FALKOR”
Welcome to our Confetti Dogs Learning Community!
If you are a new member, I'm so glad you are here and I'm really looking forward to using this platform in some pretty creative and hopefully productive ways that will benefit all of the members here. If you don't mind, as soon as you get a chance, take a minute to introduce yourself a bit: 1) Tell us a little bit about yourself! 2) Tell us, briefly, about your dog(s) you have or if you are planning on getting a dog in the near future, etc.! 3) Just for fun...what's your favorite FOOD, BOOK, or MOVIE! I'll start below...Thanks so much for joining!

Hi everyone! I’m Tyler! I came back to Frederick about 2 years ago after having lived in Washington, D.C. for the last 10. I like to stay active and enjoy snowboarding, trail biking, fishing, and golfing. My best friend is Tigger. He is a 4-year old Goldendoodle. Sometimes I tell people he’s a Megadoodle because of his size, it usually gets a laugh. He’s fluffy, rambunctious, and super-friendly. He spends most of his days barking in his sleep to the thought of tennis balls. My favorite food has to be a cheeseburger! If I had it my way I would be at Olde Mother eating a fifty-fifty smash burger every night of the week 🤣. Looking forward to this community!
