On July 7, I'll be launching RE-EXAMINED, a new live true crime podcast. Our first episode, "Night Out, Never Home," will revisit the cases of Joey Labute Jr., Paul Kochu, Dakota James, Adam Gilbertson,. We'll explore the facts, timelines, similarities, and unanswered questions that continue to surround these cases. If you've followed any of these investigations, I'd love to hear your thoughts and have you join the discussion. July 7 • 7 PM Pacific • 10 PM Eastern🎙 RE-EXAMINED
A successful young college student walks into a crowded bar area with friends… and never makes it home. Days later, his body is found in the river. No robbery. No clear answers. No explanation that fully satisfies everyone who has followed the case. For years, people have debated:Was it an accident? Was he targeted?Or is there something larger connecting cases like this that people have overlooked? As I continue working on my upcoming book involving cases like Joey LaBute Jr., Dakota James, Paul Kochu, Adam Gilbertson, and others, I want to open the discussion to this community. What stands out to YOU most about cases like this? The timeline? The behavior? The missing gaps? The similarities to other cases? Let’s discuss. What happened to Joey LaBute? Nearly a year after the 26-year-old disappeared from Union Cafe, friends, family and police search for answers in his mysterious death.https://www.columbusmonthly.com/story/entertainment/human-interest/2017/02/22/what-happened-to-joey-labute/22098504007/
For eight news now, Joey's case has been unsolved when I believe they have the necessary information to reopen the case. As I push forward with Joey's case I see patterns that could make his case one of a serial killer case and through my book and this community, I will layout why I think this.
