Day 1: Genesis 1:1-2:3 – In the Beginning, God Created
Today's Reading: Genesis 1:1-2:3 (The Creation Account – 6 days of creation + Sabbath rest) A Moment to Read & Reflect: Take time to read these verses slowly. Notice how God speaks everything into existence—light, sky, land, plants, animals, and finally humanity made in His image. Pay special attention to the rhythm of "And God saw that it was good" and the seventh day rest. Key Takeaway: God is the powerful Creator who brings order out of chaos, beauty out of nothing, and purpose to everything He makes—including you. The world didn't happen by accident; it was intentionally designed by a good God who declared it "very good." Question for Today: What part of creation stands out to you most? Why do you think God made that thing? How does knowing you are made "in the image of God" (Gen 1:26-27) change how you see yourself or others today? If you're new to the Bible or exploring faith: What surprises you about this account of how everything began? Let's end in Prayer: "God, thank You for creating me with intention and purpose. Help me see YOUR goodness in the world around me today and rest in the truth that You are in control. Amen." Share in the comments: What spoke to your heart? Any questions about the passage? How will you carry this truth into your day? Let's encourage one another as we begin this journey together! 🙏📖
Day 1: Genesis 1:1-2:3 – In the Beginning, God Created
365-Day Bible Journey: From Genesis to Revelation
Today we begin a 365-day reading journey through key selections of the Bible—starting with Genesis 1 and finishing on December 31st with Revelation 22. This community plan is for: Those who already follow Jesus and want to go deeper in God’s Word Those who feel like they’ve drifted and want to come back Those who are curious, exploring, or not sure what they believe yet You are welcome here, wherever you are in your journey. You don’t need a “perfect” past, a church background, or all the answers. This is a space to read, learn, ask, and grow together. What to expect: A daily reading from Scripture (starting in Genesis 1) A short reflection, question, or prompt to help you think and apply A place in the comments to share what stood out, ask questions, or request prayer How to participate: Read the passage for the day (using your Bible or a Bible app) Engage with the daily post: react, comment, or share your takeaway Encourage others—especially those who are new or just exploring Whether you stay for a week, a month, or the full 365 days, you’re invited to walk this out with us. Changed By Grace exists to help real people encounter a real God through His Word and His grace. Let’s begin together! Genesis 1:1-2:3 is our first study of the year!

The Heart Behind this Community
Changed By Grace is a Christ-centered space for people who already follow Jesus and for those who are simply curious, searching, or not sure what they believe yet. Everyone is welcome to come as they are, ask honest questions, and learn more about who Jesus is and what God’s grace means in real life. How we treat one another Speak with kindness and respect to all members, whether they identify as Christians or not; no mocking, shaming, or attacking anyone’s background or questions. Make room for questions and doubt; it is okay for people to say “I don’t understand” or “I’m not there yet” without being condemned or pressured. Share truth with grace: when talking about sin, salvation, or doctrine, communicate with humility, patience, and compassion. What is and isn’t okay to post Encouraged: testimonies, questions about Jesus or the Bible, honest struggles, and content that helps people encounter God’s love and understand the gospel more clearly. Not allowed: hateful or demeaning content toward any person or group, including nonbelievers, people of other faiths, or different backgrounds. When sharing teaching or advice, focus on helping and explaining, not arguing or “proving someone wrong,” especially with those who are still exploring faith. Communication and conflict If someone asks a “basic” or repeated question about faith, respond gently and helpfully instead of criticizing them for not knowing. If a discussion about beliefs becomes heated, slow down, step back, and remember the goal is to love people and point them to Christ, not to win debates. Bring disagreements back to scripture and Christ-like character, and if needed, involve an admin rather than letting things escalate. Safety, privacy, and next steps Protect each other’s stories, especially those who are just beginning to open up about their lives and questions; do not share their posts outside the group without permission. This community is not a replacement for a local church or professional help; members are encouraged to connect with a healthy church and, when needed, qualified counselors, doctors, or other professionals.
