August Thoughts
Hey friends! As you probably have noticed, I’ve been a little absent on this app. I have been trying hard to figure out how to adequately balance my home responsibilities, my church responsibilities, this platform, the TikTok shop videos that I am required to make to stay active, and of course…my three week “summer break”, where I’ve been trying to declutter the house and set us up for success in 2026-2027! Here is my question to you… What is the best way that this platform can support you? Is it the modules? Would it be a weekly template that helps you to layout your week? Is it short video content about specific things? Would it be a weekly Bible study that I put out as a video or that we complete live? Would it be something else that you have been looking for? I am trying to reflect this morning on how I am using my time, and I feel like I have my feet in 18 different canoes and they are not all heading in the direction that God has for me. I do believe that Skool is a platform that will fit my vision of how I want to share with folks best, but I want to know exactly what you need/want from this platform, so I can schedule time each week to plan and record and connect! Please offer your feedback in the comments and let me know! Love you all! ❤️🏡❤️

I am all in for the weekly template. I don’t mind your videos either. Allows for pause and thoughts. Gods hand will lead you. You got this!
Little Lessons from the Farmhouse
Welp -- I did a thing! I've not even gotten my "author copy" yet, but I wanted to share a little something I've been working on! I've had an idea for a children's book series for years, but I am NOT an artist and I've not really had the financial capacity to look at hiring one. Enter ChatGPT. With the words that I put on the page and the descriptions that I gave Chat, I was able to get illustrations for my book! I know it's not perfect, but it's a great way to start getting some of my ideas "out there". This series will hit some of those "soft skills" that kids today seem to be struggling with. I've used my girls and our farm life as inspiration for the setting and characters and I'm already almost finished with book 2! https://amzn.to/4dPqErD If you order a copy, I'd love to have your feedback! ❤️🏡❤️

Routine
This is such a hard thing for me, so this month I’m going to focus on small routines. Some of these probably seem silly to be listed but I need to see it to make sure I do it. Like getting dressed early and not staying in my pjs half the day. 😌 Day one has been a success so far!

I need a good detailed list to function, especially on high stress days.

Faith
Yesterdays episode
I started at work at about 0615. I work in a medical testing office. I left about 10 for the day. I needed self care (pedicure, that just happened to work into my appointments yesterday). I have guardianship of my uncle that has a brain injury. I’m at a spot where I need to look at putting him in memory care and I’m torn because it’s going to upset the family. I toured three different facilities all of them about the exact same price same amenities my ask is if you would place your faith with my faith in line as I asked God for direction for grace, for guidance.
Last Day of School Eve!
This has felt like the longest week ever, friends! I feel like I’ve been putting out one fire after another at work and we finished up softball season this week with two long drives for our final two games, which means I’ve not been making much progress in the evenings. I’ve been trying hard to really be intentional when I get home with at least doing a quick pickup of the main rooms of the house. Monday starts my summer schedule at school and the guy is coming today to hopefully fix our washer! I think I can, I think I can… How has YOUR week been???

All week. Staffing, grumpy patients…I just keep pushing kindness. It’s been fire after fire all week.
