🚨600,000 Black women were laid off
The numbers are out — and while they’re sobering, they’re also clarifying. If your job search has felt unusually difficult, slow, or unpredictable, it’s not because you’re doing something wrong. The market has shifted, and many of the rules we were trained to rely on no longer protect us in the same way. Here’s the empowering truth: When systems become unstable, strategy matters more than ever. I know this personally. I was laid off twice in one year. What changed my trajectory wasn’t applying harder or waiting longer. It was building leverage. I learned how to: - package my experience into a clear offers + personal brand - build community around what I already knew - and create income streams that didn’t rely on one employer 💰💰 That decision led me to build a 6-figure personal brand and a community of over 160K people across platforms. This is why I’m inviting you to join me for my upcoming FREE masterclass ‘How to Build a Six-Figure Personal Brand’ 💰 Not as an escape plan — but as a protection plan. Not to quit overnight — but to expand your options, income, and confidence in this market. If you’ve been feeling the pressure, consider this your signal to position yourself differently. 👉 Join me. https://stan.store/TheeCoachKris/p/build-a-6figure-personal-brand-before-you-quit Let’s build leverage together. – Coach Kris

I have been laid off twice in two years with the most recent layoff being six months ago. I recently was able to get through 4 rounds of interviews, the recruiter, the director (hiring manager) and two team members. The first team member who held a senior position had a surprised look on her face when she got on camera for our interview. She wasn’t welcoming at all and tried to be friendly but I felt I wasn’t wanted. Although the Director really liked me, I felt the team member told her I wasn’t a good fit which is the reason they gave. I experienced the exact same thing during the first job I was laid off from during the interview and that person was my manager. I possess an MBA and five certifications in my field. I feel I’m discriminated constantly because I’m Black and have education.
