Great Video Call Today!
Great session today @Garrett Maroon! I love the idea of using voice text if I am not going to use video in my text messages. It was great being there and getting to see everyone!

Introduce yourself + share your Craziest Real Estate Story 🎉
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing a little about you, a photo of you or your family, something you like to do for fun and your craziest real estate story 😊 I'll go first! About me: My name is Garrett Maroon. I'm married with 4 kiddos. I love Jesus so I founded The Faithful Agent (a nonprofit for Christians in real estate) and the 2:10 Collective at eXp (a way for Christians to actually be in business together). I host a weekly podcast called the Faithful Agent podcast. I wrote a book that is currently with publishers called "The Common Agent Scoreboard". I run a real estate team - The Maroon Group - in Southeast, Virginia. I've sold over 650 homes in just 10 years all by referral and I can't wait to help you grow your business too! Craziest Real Estate Story: I was showing an investment property to a buddy of mine in a not so great part of the city. I got the key out of the lockbox, started opening the door when I heard lots of cussing coming from inside. So I shut the door and rang the doorbell instead (I thought the house was vacant mind you - that’s what the agent said) I heard the people inside call out “just a minute” and heard them scrambling. We finally go in. There’s a man and a woman sitting in the living room watching tv when we walk in. They never make eye contact. We saw what looked like all kinds of drugs around them and they reeked of it. As we kept searching the house, we walked into one bedroom where a guy was just passed out on the bed - not asleep, looked like from a drug high or something. It was both really scary and really unnerving. Thankfully my buddy was a Marine and always carried a gun 😂 so we made it out alive

Hi Everyone! I have been part of the community for a while, but I haven't posted here to introduce myself. I have lived all over the East coast of the US, but I currently live in Orlando, Florida and cover the central Florida area. My husband and I are full-time business owners, as Realtors and also running a handyman/remodeling company. We are very involved in our church with me serving on stage as part of the worship team and him behind the sound board. We are raising two young ladies that love Jesus. We love serving people and building relationships and connecting people together. I love that I can go anywhere in the area I live and find people that I know.

Buyers I give a basket of things I have curated like candle, nice fake plant, welcome sign, etc. I also give a moving back of all the paper products they will need in the move. For sellers I usually give a photo book of the real estate photos. It's the best their house has looked and helps capture memories of the home they are leaving. These work in most situations.
