@Stefanie Byrd hi I am self taught crochet and knit and have been drawing /painting since childhood

Hello, I am Tonya ( with long O sound) 😊 I have been drawing and painting since I was a child but as time went by I stepped away from it unfortunately due to someone I looked up to for guidance. I wanted to explore singing and dance and my art instructor didn’t like it would take a bit of time from her gallery class (10 mins tops) so she tried to humiliate me at the first showing I was working hard on by telling others I was a quitter. Well I unfortunately was young and let it affect my feelings about the art world. Over the years I have dabbled but not done much. Raised my family and now trying to return and rebuild my skills. I love to paint with watercolor, acrylic's and mix media. I think my work looks childlike cartoonish. But my still life’s have been nice. I am self taught crochet in crochet ( lefty here) and knitting is newish for me. I love when I create something that surprises even me . I hope to build my skills again and be able to sell some stuff. I think that will be exciting and accomplishing a dream.
