I was leaving my local 7 Eleven with my extra-large coffee and a blueberry muffin deal, and a gentleman asked me for today's date. Not the time, but the date. I tell myself I would like to be like I am when I grow up. Away from the rat race and its bullcrap. Living on my terms. Why choose to live a life or work a job where you waste time and days of your life faster? I once had a job where every time I looked at the clock, I hoped time would go faster. That is like praying to be closer to death. Now I have created a life where the days could not go by slowly enough. I intentionally enjoy every minute. I pray for the time when the date does not matter much. "Time is of the essence" spiritually means that life is a finite, precious gift requiring intentional, purposeful action today rather than later. Do you agree or disagree? Explain why.
