I own and self-manage short-term rental properties across California and Puerto Rico, after firing a property manager who I realized was prioritizing their own units over mine. Since then I've been running everything with AI tools and one virtual assistant, and it's completely changed the numbers for me. That shift also led me to start a small community for STR owners navigating the same self-managing learning curve, which has been a fun project alongside the properties themselves.
