I was typing out loads in reply to the video above but I deleted it by accident Sapir. I'll do it again tomorrow. Here's my take on morality: https://youtu.be/6K2sZgPWDUw?si=ybjVjWrhFij_K7hp EDIT: If it benefited you Sapir would you murder someone? I'm guessing no. You have empathy which forces you not to. Every time I've tried I can't hypothetically choose to murder someone - I have empathy and no freewill and personally experience this with certainty.. This should be a show of hands objective morality, even amongst psychopaths, as it's 1) The right thing to do objectively as a fact and 2) It just so happens it benefits everyone including yourself anyway including the psychopath. Otherwise it's you torture me I torture you. Everyone gets tortured. Most of us overwhelming desire to do good. I understand that just because you know something is wrong that's not a guarantee that a person won't do the bad thing but that's missing the point. Of course this allows for punishment under minimal empathy. Where does the moral code/morality come from? Our brains. The laws should be based on this not what a God who doesn't exist says. On top of all of this empathy allows us to implement punishment also possibly in the next life if there is one.
