@Tim Tremaine Welcome. Love "Biggest hurdle is everything". I can certainly relate.

@Josh Gamez Welcome to the group! I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the important work you do in teaching, preaching, podcasting, and counseling. With everything on your plate, I have to ask: do you even have time left over to sleep? 😉
Excited for the Future!
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. As for marketing in 2026, I'm considering doing something a bit unconventional to kick off the year. I recently launched a Skool community called AI Divine Creativity for people interested in exploring the intersection of AI and biblical applications. Every quarter, Skool runs a competition called the Skool Games, where community owners compete to see who can generate the most increase in monthly recurring revenue. The winners in each category earn a trip to meet with the team and Alex Hormozi. The next round starts January 5th, 2026. Here's what caught my attention: someone mentioned that very few Christians win or even place in the Spirituality category, which is the one I'm in. It's a pretty broad category, so I'm thinking about making a major push to see if I can change that. My reasoning is that because my community focuses on AI and biblical applications, and AI is such a hot topic right now, I might actually have the best shot of any Christian group to make a real run at this. The contest only counts revenue from memberships priced at $100 or less, so I'm considering dropping my VIP membership from $450 down to $100 per month, locked in for three to four months minimum. During that time, I'd go live every single day and continue offering one personal 1:1 coaching call each month to everyone who signs up. I'll be honest: I haven't had anyone sign up for the VIP membership yet, so I don't have to worry about refunds or anything like that. I realize that heavy discounting can create long term issues, but if people signed up because of the price and stayed beyond the promotional period, I'd still come out ahead even if I gave them a better deal than normal to extend. The normal discounts on sales just won't be enough to give me a real shot at this. It needs to be something bold and this is the most dramatic move I've come up with so far. I'll be completely transparent about why I'm dropping the price. It's not just about winning a contest. I want to see more Christian groups get recognition and visibility on Skool. A lot of what I do in my own community is also encourage other Christian creators and show them how they could use AI in what they are doing.

@Dillon Smith I'm thinking about that every day so I'm always open to new suggestions. I'm currently doing deep dives into what all former winners have said about how they won to try and create a playbook.
Encouragement:
Hey y'all! Just want to take a moment and encourage you in the work you're doing. You're in this group because you know you can make the world a better place, and I love you for that. As you head into Christmas, take some time to write out 5-10 things you're grateful for from this year. Enjoy your families, and have a great week off. We're all hitting the ground running in 2026!

This is your best free marketing channel:
When I stepped off the Life.Church team in May of this year, I was able to take my business from 2 clients to 10 in a month using this free marketing strategy. I outline exactly what it is in this video: https://www.skool.com/church-marketing-skool-2082/classroom/00d476eb?md=613de2dc4ddc45aaab06d2ad26c9ea39 My big question for y'all: Do you have a list of your top 50-100 warmest contacts you need to be deepening relationship with?

Good training. Thanks for the reminder to not just sell to your current contacts, but ask them to refer others who might be a good fit for what you do.
Debate: What is the best paid marketing channel?
Let’s hash it out down below: In your opinion, what is the best paid marketing channel right now? Please explain why:

As AI-generated search summaries become a bigger part of what the major companies are rolling out, I'm curious how that's affecting ad strategies. Are you seeing any shifts in how businesses need to approach things?
