People often ask me, “Where’s the best place to buy property?”
For me, the answer has always been simple: Leicestershire, my home for 55 years. It’s where I started, where I grew, and where my family’s story continues. I’ve stepped outside my comfort zone at times, but every experience has reminded me why my heart and strategy, remain rooted right here. Property isn’t just about numbers. It’s about knowing the streets, the people, and the stories that shape a place. So my answer never changes: 👉🏽 Buy where you know. 👉🏽 Build where you belong. 👉🏽 Honour the story that shaped you. Accessible Accommodation at Hilltop
From the very start we wanted Hilltop Apartments to serve people with dignity. We listened to disability groups, and that’s why you’ll find features like specialist seating imported from America and sliding wetroom doors that are easier to use. Now we have nine modern apartments, including two fully accessible units, so families, groups, and contractors all have a place to feel at home. 💬 Do you think accessibility is something more investors in our community should be building into their projects?

Junior SIPPs & SSAS
Our children don’t need to wait until they are adults to start their financial journey. My grandchildren already have their Junior SIPPs, where we can put £2,880 each year and HMRC adds £720. By 18, those pots will be worth tens of thousands inshallah. At that stage, they’ll roll into our family SSAS, a tax-free family bank that supports our property business and preserves wealth for future generations. 💡 Small, consistent steps today can change a family’s tomorrow. How are you preparing the next generation in your own family?

@Marlene Samuels brr made simple: our next blog https://contactcultures.com/blog/
It’s easy to get caught up in bookings, margins, and occupancy rates.
But if you step back for a moment, SA isn’t just a numbers game, it’s a people business wrapped in hospitality, trust, and impact. Behind every short stay is a reason someone needed a home away from home. A family visiting a loved one in hospital. A contractor trying to earn for their family. A couple escaping for rest. A single mum looking for safety. A guest who just needs to feel human again. As SA operators, we hold space for others. Sometimes we’re their first impression of a town, a calm in the middle of their storm, or a quiet reminder that there is still kindness in the world. Yes, it’s business. But done right, it’s also barakah (blessing). So keep your standards high, your systems tight, and your heart open. Because you’re not just filling rooms, you’re creating moments, memories, and meaning. Here’s to building more than income, Here’s to building legacy. 🙏🏽🥰😘
