One theological topic that I think your writing can help with is this notion of Christian Perfection. It's a huge theme for United Methodists. The word 'perfect' activates a lot of negative associations for me. So, I'm looking at this from a lens of wholeness rather than perfection. For me, I cannot be wholely human except in connection to other humans and non human neighbors. The path for me to this wholeness is Loving Awareness

Mine would laugh at such a notice. But they teach me a lot when I ask them what they're trying to protect me from. What are they so afraid of? Once I understand a little more about that voice's negativity (shame, fear, pride, people pleasing, laziness, jealousy) I can then lift up the correaponding virtues which are also between my ears albeit less vocal. It helps give them a voice and put the shitty committee into perspective.
