Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Base SalaryLocation: South Chicago, IL Area Manufactured Home Area Manager About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Manufactured Home Area Manager to oversee operations across multiple manufactured housing communities in the South Chicago market. This leadership role is ideal for a strong Community Manager ready to take the next step or an experienced multi-site operator who thrives in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment. The Area Manager will be responsible for driving occupancy, collections, resident satisfaction, team development, and overall community performance while providing leadership and support to on-site management teams. Key Responsibilities - Provide oversight and leadership for multiple manufactured housing communities - Coach, mentor, and develop Community Managers and on-site teams - Monitor occupancy, collections, delinquency, and community financial performance - Ensure communities maintain strong curb appeal and operational standards - Support sales, leasing, and resident retention initiatives - Conduct regular site visits and property inspections - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management - Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and local requirements - Partner with maintenance and operations teams to address property needs - Build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and local stakeholders - Analyze reports and implement strategies to improve community performance Qualifications - Previous experience managing manufactured housing communities, multifamily properties, RV resorts, or similar residential communities - Multi-site management experience preferred - Strong leadership and team development skills - Proven track record in occupancy growth, collections, and operational performance - Experience managing budgets and financial reporting - Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
