Guest Speaker for Thursday 🎉
Hello everyone. I have a special guest and dear friend coming to talk with us on Thursday. She is an Emotional Trauma Therapist · Energy Alchemist · Clinical Hypnotherapist. 🤔 Which might have you thinking "what the heck does that have to do with YouTube?" Everything! Many of us hold limiting beliefs that holds up back from showing up fully on YouTube and Sandy Robson, has a unique way of helping people to release things from childhood or beyond that are limiting you. She is truly a magician when it comes to healing. And I thought it would be an nice change to talk about how to release things that are holding you back from showing up fully on YouTube. You can learn more about her here: https://sandyrobsontherapy.com/ @Sandy Robson

Authenticity Win - Most views ever!
Hello all. This past week I slowed down and followed the advice to let my video simmer on YouTube before getting all wound up and posting immediately. I also modified the lighting for the photo on my thumbnail, then used ChatGPT to help me with time stamps and chapters (per one of Alexa's videos since I had no clue that was a thing)...and one of my videos surpassed anything I have experienced...with 477 views so far, I picked up an extra 25 subscribers, and had some lovely comments from viewers. I felt more authentic which was my biggest win. Comments and likes haven't been happening much for me up until this point. This has been an exciting experience. Big thanks to Alexa for creating/hosting such a large, supportive community that is encouraging me to keep on creating. My channel is blossoming and feels more and more like something I can sustain. Here is the video link if anyone wants to peek and share advice. Thank you. 🙂https://youtu.be/YvWy3wptQPs

@Debra Lewis thank you for your generosity. I appreciate your kind words! So pleased to hear that the video resonated with you. The journey to improved health is very much a supportive one. Our bodies are remarkable - food is medicine. :)
Why YouTube actually?
I’m curious, especially for those of us starting YouTube later in life. What made you start your YouTube channel in the first place? I tried FB and IG and TikTok but none of these speaks to me. I just dont feel it. Additional for my purpose i think search engine maschine where people come asking questions I have answers to is better for my customer journey and monetisation later on. Your / my job is to be consistent and post videos so potential " customers" find you. How about you? Was it the wish to share your experience, help others, build income, create something of your own, or something that’s harder to put into words, journaling? I’ve noticed that the reason we start, often shapes how we show up on YouTube later, including how we think about content and monetisation , sometimes without us even realising it. I’d really love to hear what your original motivation was.

What a terrific conversation - as I read the replies above I have resonated a bit with each answer. I'm not quite a 'Boomer' (I'm 60) and have always been a late adopter to technology. I hung onto a pager while many people were fully immersed in their cell phones. I began my YouTube journey last August in two ways - Retired with Purpose showcased a video talking about making money with both eBay and YouTube. My corporate gig is one where I am earning a pension though I am also drowning in compassion fatigue and feeling the hits due to the current administrations attack on Public Health. Having YouTube and eBay as creative outlets is enabling me to downsize, offered stress relief, and sparked creativity in my down time. My channel has become a fun hobby as I share my holistic approach to health and how I am aging well. This Creator Boost Tribe showed up at a perfect time as I investigate my next steps...into a Nomadic Lifestyle during retirement, and how I can turn a recent eBook into a course and/or coaching opportunity. Thanks for the question. :)

@Alicja Heinz thanks! My grown son treated me to two weeks in Japan last year and part of the birthday gift was him 'teasing me' to select a caregiver robot...talk about tech. I want either R2D2 or Wall-E, the robots we encountered in Tokyo have weird large googly eyes. Tokyo blew my mind. I've only had a passport for a few years and now that I have been exploring many places outside of the U.S. I feel 60 is prime. My mentors, guides, and physicians are much older - they inspire me to reach higher. People in Utah are often seen as 'behind the Zion Curtain' which is true in many ways. The more I learn the more that my brain aches to be fed and my feet want to explore. Have a lovely day. :)
New Tribe Member - Hello!
Thank you for welcoming me - here's a gift and a bit about me. My name is Tiffany. I reside in the City of Salt. Salty themes have guided my life; offering lessons of spice, variety, and grief. Entering YouTube urged me to embrace vulnerability, migrate content from a dying website, and begin a legacy project. I celebrated my 60th birthday in 2025 and am downsizing. I am celebrating aging solo, and liberating myself from outdated narratives. I am here to create, share my truth, and encourage others to become a more active participant in their health journey. Aging well means that I practice and share foundational tools that have helped me as a caregiver, a patient advocate, and educator. I am managing my own chronic conditions and empowering others to do the same. My "3 Key Concepts to Improved Health" are that I Soothe to ease pain, dine well to Nourish my body, and invest in daily exercise to ensure that I Rest. As I learn and grow on YouTube I began creating 'freebies' - those PDFs that I can gift to viewers. This is my most recent creation - I welcome and appreciate your feedback. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gN30pj9xsvTjMxpbiOYB4QWxsCzsj61p/view?usp=sharing

@Dajana K. thank you for sharing your thoughts. Happy almost 50 to you. :) I agree with your sentiments. I've sought out mentors much older than myself for decades since I want to learn from women who have blazed the trail ahead of me. Watching Fabulous50s on YouTube during the 2020 shutdown inspired me to put together a home gym and cancel my gym membership. What is your channel about? My foodie shorts are getting much more views currently - I'm working on narrowing the focus of my channel since I began exploring YouTube last August as a hobby, legacy project, and creative outlet. The next step is consistency - something like Aging Well Fridays, Wednesday Wellness, and a Weekend Workshop series using material from my website and eBook to share my holistic approach to health. I appreciate your feedback. :)
