A Quick BTS shot of our greeen screen session for an upcoming short film by Mike Schwab called “The Forbidden Fruitcake” . Tom is playing John Marley in the film a ghost that appears in a snow globe with some advice. Tom rocked his performance as usual , and is such a great person to work with , you rock Tom! I setup the green screen in my garage , used two work lights from above to light the green screen , then one soft box w/grid as the Key light about 45 degrees to his front left and a reflector on the other side for some fill bounce. And a soft box at 100% for the backlight for separation from the background .

So Filmmakers it’s that cyber Monday thing again , what new things are you wishing for this season ?

A few years back Chik-Fil-a started offering content on their app as brand sponsored programming and now it looks like many other large brands are doing the same . Dick’s Sporting goods has announced a new studio they will sponsor with their own content geared to the brands “vibe”. It funny to think that things are kinda going back to the beginning of TV how soap operas we paid for by advertisers , the name came from a “opera” sponsored by a soap company. Now we are coming full circle with brands finding new ways to advertise since traditional commercials are failing. What do you think of these new upcoming content opportunities directly coming from a brand ? What do you think will happen to streaming networks having to now compete with the advertisers that once funded their programming ? Will this create more opportunities for smaller producers and content creators or make it harder? It’s getting wild in Hollywood Love to hear people’s thoughts
