You Are Not Broken. You Are Grieving.
Nobody prepares you for the grief. Not grief like someone died -- though sometimes it feels that way. Grief for the life you thought you would have. What you are feeling is normal. All of it -- the anger, the days where you are fine and then suddenly not, the weird guilt, the loneliness, the fear. A few things that actually help: Let yourself feel it. Fighting the grief makes it last longer. Find your people. Not people who tell you you are right about everything -- people who show up. That is what this community is for. Move your body. Thirty minutes of walking changes your brain chemistry. Do not make major decisions right now. Stabilize first. Rebuild second. Get professional support. Therapy during divorce is strategy, not weakness. You are going to be okay. What is helping you emotionally right now?

Co-Parenting With Someone You Can Barely Stand
Nobody tells you that co-parenting is one of the hardest parts of divorce. Keep communication businesslike. You are not friends. Short, factual, about the kids only. Use a co-parenting app -- OurFamilyWizard, TalkingParents, or a dedicated email. Keep a record. Never speak negatively about the other parent in front of the kids. Your kids are half of that person. Pick your battles. Not every schedule deviation is worth a fight. Give the kids permission to love the other parent. Say it out loud sometimes. What is the hardest part of co-parenting for you right now?

Your Finances in Divorce: 7 Things to Know
Divorce is one of the biggest financial events of your life. 1. Get a complete picture of ALL assets -- bank accounts, retirement, investments, real estate, vehicles, and debt. Both of yours. 2. Know the difference between marital and separate property. What you brought in or inherited may be protected. 3. Do not close joint accounts unilaterally. Document everything first. 4. Social Security and retirement benefits may be yours if married 10+ years. 5. Track your expenses now for support calculations. 6. Update your beneficiaries immediately -- life insurance, retirement accounts, everything. 7. Your credit is your responsibility now. Open individual accounts and build your score. What questions do you have about finances? Drop them below.

5 Mistakes People Make in Divorce
After working with thousands of divorce clients, I have seen the same mistakes over and over. 1. Fighting over things that do not matter financially. The house feels like everything. But after legal fees, it might cost more than its worth. 2. Using the kids as messengers. Even once. It damages them and your case. 3. Posting on social media. Anything you post can and will be used against you. 4. Making financial decisions based on emotion. Do not keep the house just to win. 5. Going at it alone. One consult with an attorney can save you tens of thousands. Which of these resonates? What would you add?
