Happy New Year
We had a heap of fun with the 2 games that we got from you guys at the Summit. We also have our instructors more active in greeting people into the dojo to make them feel welcome. Sometimes if we have a few New students on the floor we have a formal hi my name is Blah Blah and so forth. Then at the end of training we have the name game which is good for the instructors too.

Question for experienced martial artists
I started JuJutso 5 months back just after my 2 children enrolled. It’s the first martial art I’ve ever been exposed to and it’s been eye-opening, a window into a different world. I’m absolutely loving the challenge and just graded successfully to yellow belt. It’s promising to be a really interesting journey. The question I wanted to ask of those that have been training for years is; what advice would you give to someone just starting out, especially in regards to preventing injury and maintaining the body and motivation?

This is awesome. I have recently recovered from a broken ankle and before that a hip replacement. Makes standing for long periods of time painful. These things shouldn't interfere with your pursuit of knowledge. I am 65 years young. I will be grading in another style this coming October. Looking forward to the Challenge. Trying to strengthen my body parts that are protesting which isn't easy. Nothing is easy that is worthwhile.

Yes, absolutely hate the idea of going to ground now having to breach that fear. As for stand-up techniques got a lot of work to do to get the legs pumping along like they used to. So much of my body needs the stretches and just persuasion to have another go at what used to come natural all over again.
Warm up looks like a bit of Fun.
Going to put something together for this warmup which will, fit into our space.

In my Team I have 1young fella who naturally uses his voice to excite people. In actual fact he is so excited when he does his class or announcements I used to become embarrassed , after this particular class I am lifting the other instructors to use the tempo in their voice more often.
