Is It Possible to Run Ads Successfully without Reviews?
I hope the data in the screenshot answers this question well enough. This is just the 7th day of the campaign, and the conversion rate is more than 19%. Hear me correctly: I do not mean to say that reviews are not important. Quite the opposite, I am sure reviews are essential for success. But do not let the absence of reviews (yet) stop you from actively promoting your book. And next, to get a very good deal for the BookVillage review platform, use the link https://bookvillage.pub/?via=guild Have you had experience with good book sales without reviews, or with a minimal number of them?

@Laura Diaz Hi Laura, just an update from a launch I started last week. Book went live on Wednesday (Aug 5, 2026) morning, ads were setup on Wednesday evening, first sale on Thursday morning (after only seven impressions and 1 click = this is not normal, but nice). Since then, just gathering data and waiting for the next sale.

@Yuliya Firsova 7 reviews (not ratings) is a very good start for running ads in Germany.
Something I'm Grateful to Celebrate Today
I wanted to share a small milestone I'm genuinely grateful for—I recently reached Top Rated on Upwork. Looking back, it wasn't one big breakthrough that got me here. It was a lot of small improvements repeated over time: writing better proposals, communicating clearly, meeting deadlines, listening to client feedback, and always trying to leave every project a little better than I found it. One lesson that surprised me is that clients rarely hire the person who talks the most about themselves. They hire the person who understands their problem and explains how they'll solve it. That mindset changed the way I approach both my work and my proposals. I'm grateful to every client who trusted me with their publishing projects and to communities like this one where I've continued learning from others. Still learning. Still improving. On to the next milestone. 🚀 Thank you @Laura Diaz @Meggy Halfon @Igor O for trusting me with your projects

Great accomplishment, Temmy. Actually, listening to your customer is the best thing to do. Not only on upwork and other platforms, but also when creating an Amazon description. Too often I see features listed, whereas benefits the reader would have ar enot spoken about. I wish you lots of success with your editing business.
I cannot create a new ads campaign
After everything is set and I click “Launch campaign,” the page scrolls to the top, no error messages are shown, but it’s impossible to save the campaign. Is it only my issue, or has somebody experienced the same today? Also, two books unexpectedly got the status "Live. With unpublished changes," even though I never requested any changes. There were no messages from Amazon about it. I'd like to understand whether this is a widespread issue before I contact support.

Ads set-up worked fine Thursday night in DE market.
Gems from my toolbox: booming clusters with almost no reviews - Week 30, 2026
Finally Choose Yourself: median BSR 15,210; median review count: 6. My KDP toolbox generates many more gems than I could humanly use. After weeks of thought, I decided it would be irresponsible to keep them to myself. It is not the "cherry-picking" so popular in a lot of YouTube videos: "Look, this book sells thousands of copies a day. It's so easy to make a similar book," with information about thousands of similar books that never had even one sale conveniently left untold. I will do the opposite, showing you clusters of books with very high BSR and review counts close to zero. And I will give you the words that are linked to the cluster - the first three words of this message. I started to use this technique to find good anomalies on Amazon about a month ago, and the first book I published as a result has a BSR steadily around 30,000 with zero reviews. ----- And now, the books (the links are affiliate, and yes, I know there is a low chance any of you will purchase them): I Owed Myself This: 100 Sessions to Finally Choose Yourself Without Guilt and Stop Tolerating Less Than You Deserve Loyal to Me: 110 truths to stop tolerating what drains you and finally choose yourself without guilt PEOPLE SKILLS: Master People, Master Conversations, and Master Yourself What do you think about this format? Would you like to have it in the future?

Interesting. Low reviews/ratings, BSR 8k-10k, max. 2 month old Lots of opportunities when using an approach like this. Did this manually in my niche with Publisher Rocket when it still returned more than 10 results (now limited in international markets due to API issue).
Algorithms have changed. And it's good.
I have been watching Sara's videos for more than five years. The girl has been in the POD business since the CafePress times (if you know what I am talking about). She has seen a lot. Yes, she is oversimplifying a lot, but she has lived through many trends, and she understands them. Why this video is important, in my opinion: we must understand that algorithms have become really individualistic. There is no need to hit a massive trend to have massive sales; algorithms can select thousands and tens of thousands of customers for us one by one. The paradigm has really shifted, and we need to embrace it. Create your book with the exact audience in mind and make your book the best for that exact audience. This will give you a good chance to be found and supported by the algorithms. ----- I do not know why, but the clip cannot be added as a video. You can click the link: https://youtu.be/9iP588aMFBc

Still kind of beginner, even though I started in 2020. Just celebrating my 5th anniversary on KDP. Aiming for treating this more like a business. 8311
