Intro to Mastering
We’re hosting a 3-day virtual event starting Monday called “Intro to Mastering”. By the end, you’ll be able to master your own music with confidence — and approach the recording and mixing process with more clarity on what a radio-ready track sounds like. It starts on Monday, Aug 25th. All the info is here: https://courses.mastering.com/product/intro-to-mastering-1755082582249x502755718481593150?utm_source=Skool Note: this is a paid event ($29) — we’ll be going even more in-depth than usual. Hope to see lots of you there! Cheers, Rob

I'll have to rehearse for my next gig on Monday August 25, but would like to attend the Mastering event, too. Is there a chance to get the replay and is the order of the three days crucial for my successfully finishing the course?

Sonible's smart:deess is a cool thing to tame consonants like s, t, p, etc. They recently launched a simplified version, called pure:deess. Both are based on AI. I personally use smart:deess and now apply it on every vocal because of its reliability to solve my vocal issues. So I can recommend it, at least to give it a try. https://www.sonible.com/smartdeess/ https://www.sonible.com/puredeess/
Metric A/B vs Reference 2
This just popped up and I’m wondering if this is worth the dollar, or if I should just wait until Reference is on sale as that was the one I initially was going to purchase. Anybody have preferences? Why?

I am very content using Metric A/B, which, in my view is more user friendly than reference2. But I think that is up to one's taste.

Another great free plugin from Polyverse is Wider, which can give any mono signal the illusion of an expanded stereo image. Tried it on my guitars - awful!! https://polyversemusic.com/products/wider/
Mixing
Soooo, I'm not able to pump my monitors up to hear my music as often (apt/neighbors) so I basically have to mix in headphones ( DT 990 PRO(open back) DT 770 PRO (Closed) My bedroom isn't treated (I'll take a pic, it is what it is) I heard a lot that when mixing u should at the lowest volume, am I correct? Well any tips given I appreciate in advance ✌🏿
