I did my first Hyrox on Sunday in the men’s doubles. We wanted to get sub 1:30 and managed to do it in 1:13:07. During the race I felt like I was going to be sick on the third run and sled pulls but lucky that passed by the burpees and I felt strong going into the last 3 stations and runs. A few lessons learned that you can’t rely on just eating breakfast and racing in the afternoon and don’t let the nervous energy get the best out you. It was a great experience and already looking at booking my next one!
How was everyone's first day of the Heist? Lets see it in a GIF in the comments! Did you struggle with anything in particular, or learn any valuable lessons? I learnt that I need to plan my workouts better so that I don't leave it until the last moment...
What supplements are you all taking when training for and completing in Hyrox events? I usually take some pre workout before any big strength training sessions but not sure if that would be best for Hyrox?
I have signed up to do the Men’s doubles on the Sunday in Birmingham. Myself and partner have never done a Hyrox event before. What can we expect and what would be a reasonable finish time?
I’m thinking of adding some yoga/ stretching into my day, I have never been very flexible to start but now as I’m getting older I’m even less flexible , how many of you are already doing it? have you found it beneficial and do you use and app?
