You can't actually "own" bitcoin.
@Tim Maholic posted this yesterday in a comment and I want to re post it. Bitcoin private keys are coordinates to buried treasure (aka Bitcoin). Bitcoin private keys are not titles or deeds. There is no ownership in bitcoin. Therefore you can't steal bitcoin. The number 7 is a valid private key on the bitcoin network. People have spent BTC from the addresses associated with the private key you can generate with the number 7. You cannot own exclusive rights to the number 7. Current ownership title and deed laws cannot apply to Bitcoin because you cannot own Bitcoin because "Bitcoin" is just a set of signatures and UTXOs associated with a number (private key). And you cannot own a number. All you can do is safe keep coordinates (private keys) that have treasure (Bitcoin) located at them. You cannot "Own" Bitcoin. It will be interesting to watch legislators try to prove that you can own Bitcoin (Bitcoin = a set of signatures and UTXOs associated with a number).
You can't actually "own" bitcoin.

Stanford University is buying a lot of Bitcoin
Stanford University is now investing 7% of its profits into Bitcoin. For context, most companies invest MAX 1% into "risky bets".

The Mind is like a parachute 🪂 works best when it’s open… I remember talking with some old Ivy League guys at the bar they told me after I hit my first Mil with BTC (as a dropout) that it wouldn’t work 😂 I’m glad I didn’t listen and I’m glad other Ivy League guys have an open mind for calculated risks

99% of people are CLUELESS
99% of people are CLUELESS & have no idea their money loses 10% of its purchasing power every year & that bitcoin prevents this. printing money = inflation. inflation = currency collapse. bitcoin = deflationary. but nobody spends 10 min trying to understand this...

Not nobody, just most :) Opportunities only exist because the masses say no… The early adopters and those who come after benefit the most The Bandwagon peeps miss the wave 🌊 I’ve been on both sides and you can learn a lot on both sides… Those of us who are 1-10%-ers let’s create and attract wealth, give serve bless and use a % to help the lesser fortunate For those who choose to keep missing opportunities sobeit, somebody’s gotta do the grunt work

A Short History of How the U.S. Government Made Gold Illegal
It's 1933 and President Franklin D. Roosevelt ends the gold standard for Americans and creates “Executive Order 6102” which mandates the confiscation of private gold holdings. This executive order requires all citizens to deliver their gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates to the Federal Reserve by May 1, 1933. Those who do not deliver their goal are considered “hoarders” and are considered to be the cause of the economic crisis. Holding (AKA: Hoarding) gold becomes a criminal offense. As for the penalties for non-compliance? A $10,000 fine (equivalent to about $200,000 in 2024) and/or imprisonment for up to ten years. “Executive Order 6102” effectively transfers a significant portion of the U.S. gold reserves from private hands (the public) to the Federal Reserve, thereby increasing the government's control over the money supply. After confiscating gold from citizens through Executive Order 6102, the U.S. government then raised the price of gold from $20.67 to $35 per ounce.

Great post 💪🏽 @Ted Carr I love how #MichaelSaylor breaks down how BTC hedges against and is proofed against how the “powers that be” (attempt to) control Gold, Silver, R/E, Fiat, etc
