Today Monte and I made our list of all the things we want/need to do around our home. Next step is to prioritize them. I also took a box and went through it, something I’ve avoided for honestly over a year. Took me 20 mins AND I found a recipe I’ve been looking every where for! Progress in baby steps 💕

I made a list also.
Hung up a quilt display shelf and put a quilt on it.
Been meaning to do for months. And found a place for Glen grandparents picture. Finished planting salvias a friend sent me and the rest of the seeds I planned for this year. Actually going to sit on the porch for a while and enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has made. And going to work on my brain dump. I am ADD Hyper it’s hard once I get going to stop. Glen grilled chicken and I air fried sweet potatoes. But kitchen is already cleaned. I am just going to try and relax. Every one I pray yall have a wonderful start to week tomorrow and take time to enjoy the day.
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!!
Welcome to The Contentment Project (TCP, for short)! I’m so glad you’re here! Together, in this community, we’ll be learning how to build simple systems for our homes, align our priorities with what matters most, and live with greater peace in the season we’re in right now. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to go deeper, I’m so excited to walk this journey alongside you. As you settle in and look around the community, I’d love for you to introduce yourself in the comments. Tell us your name, where you’re joining from, and what brought you to The Contentment Project community. What are you hoping will feel different in your home or life as you begin this journey with us? Please feel free to connect & encourage with each other in the comments, like only the "farmhouse family" does! This is how we build our community! ❤️🏡❤️

Hello I am Terry . We live in East Texas. My husband and I are Native Texans. We have been married for 45 years. We have two grown children and 4 grandchildren. From ages newborn to 15 Our marriage is built on Faith. On our 2 date he invited to church. That’s a right way to begin. We have experienced ups and downs. We have had really bad days. And many many really fabulous times. We have realized that our faith is the basis of everything. We saw how God cleared the path in many areas of our life.

@Sarah Peterson what a great travel each year. We are both still working we have a a 1-3 of a working ranch along with my husband sister and a niece and nephew. A true family legacy. That’s what my in laws wanted. So right now we are in the city living in a RV -outside Houston and back to east Texas for every weekend and holidays. I love being at the ranch. I was only 17 my first visit with Glenn and his parents. I feel in love with it. They were building a house to retire to. So it was a big adventure I got to go with them as they picked out brick, paint, carpet and everything they needed. I was blessed with my parents love and The Woodsons love. We live in that same house now. And we have made it our own, and the ranch one day will go to our children. I struggle with changing living every week. I can’t tell you how many times I end up with all towels at the other location. lol. Have a wonderful time in Florida. I look forward getting to everyone better.
Reflecting on Old Soil
I saw this on Pinterest this morning and thought of this group! What is one piece of “old soil” that God seems to be nudging you to loosen your roots from…and what new fruit are you hoping to see instead?

What a great post to find. I think that is what we are looking at with this project.

Ignore my used folders (reusing what I have) but starting to make folder for my projects. This is where we struggle most. So many unfinished projects and always all over the place. We only get one full day a week to work on stuff like this so as you can imagine it takes us awhile to get big projects done. We always forget where we are and what we still need. Excited to get these in order of importance and stop having to go back to the beginning every time we start.

That’s sounds like a great idea. Set up a folder for large projects. I am working on infrastructure of my future garden. For Mother’s Day we ordered new water hose reels. I know that sound like much but it is needed now and future. Next I will be start raised metal beds. I love watching things grow. I know god is working when I see the birds and hummingbirds at all my flowers. Rabbits playing.
