@Brenna Fender I previously edited my post to include the 2 videos that somehow didn't make it into the total video. I bring it up because someone asked about the ball on the cone. I have a whole thing I do with Simon using a static reward that is head height.

@Brenna Fender No. This exercise is in place of fetch. Tossing a ball or frisbee and Simon will turn himself inside out to get it. Sadly that compromises the strength and stability of his legs and core. Since he has a complete fusion of one of his tendons on his hock, we avoid doing anything where he will twist, turn or contort. But, the ball is life. So this is a great substitute. In order to get the ball he has to slow down. And because it's at head height he won't want to dig in or jump.

I am a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer as well as a canine massage therapist. I rescued my border collie Simon who came with a bum leg. I got into fitness because of him. The rule of thumb, if you are in dog sports, is that at some point your dog will be injured. Our challenge is 'seeing' that they are injured. It's a challenge because they will try their best to hide the injury.

I currently have two agility dogs, Spooner and Ring. They are Borgis. I do a lot of training in my backyard.
