💡 Monday / Wednesday Motivation Check-In
Sometimes Monday flies by before we even realize it. Life happens. Work piles up. Things get busy. So today we’re doing a combined Monday + Wednesday motivation reset. Here’s something important to remember on this journey: Learning bookkeeping… building confidence… applying for jobs… or finding your first client… doesn’t happen all at once. It happens through small steps done consistently. Every lesson you watch. Every worksheet you complete. Every application you submit. Those steps add up. Even if progress feels slow some days, you are still moving forward. And forward progress is what builds confidence. 👇 Mid-week check-in: Which one describes your week so far? 1️⃣ I completed a lesson or assignment 2️⃣ I reviewed material to strengthen my understanding 3️⃣ I applied for a bookkeeping job or client opportunity 4️⃣ I’m getting ready to start but needed a little motivation today Drop the number below so we can celebrate the progress happening in this community. 🚀 Every step counts.

💡 Monday / Wednesday Motivation Check-In
Best path?
I have a question for the group. Has anyone ever told you that you're good with numbers and that bookkeeping/accounting would be a great fit for you? I ask because I've been told this multiple times in my life and I was wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing.
Kazmin, I love this question. 💛 Yes — many of us were told we were “good with numbers” long before we ever considered bookkeeping as a career. Sometimes those comments are little clues. Not destiny — just clues. Being good with numbers isn’t just math. It’s attention to detail. It’s pattern recognition. It’s liking things to balance. It’s noticing when something feels “off.” If anyone else has heard something similar, drop it below 👇 Even if you’re just thinking about it quietly. Sometimes the path starts with a simple observation.
🌟 MONDAY MINDSET: Momentum Over Mood
Success isn’t built on motivation. It’s built on consistency. There will be days you feel confident. There will be days you question everything. There will be days you’re tired. Do the work anyway. Not perfectly. Not flawlessly. Just consistently. Remote bookkeeping isn’t about being the smartest person in the room. It’s about: ✔️ Showing up ✔️ Learning one skill at a time ✔️ Applying what you learn ✔️ Repeating the process Momentum beats motivation every time. This week, don’t aim for perfection. Aim for progress. 👇 Quick check-in: What is ONE action you will take this week toward your bookkeeping goal?

💬 Let’s Talk About Effort & Opportunity
Whether you’re looking for employment or building your own client base… one truth always stands: The energy you invest today shapes the opportunities you see tomorrow. Sending applications. Improving your skills. Updating your LinkedIn. Practicing interviews. Refining your confidence. Reaching out to potential clients. None of it is wasted. Growth doesn’t usually happen by accident — it happens through small, consistent action. And here’s the encouraging part: You don’t have to do everything at once. You just have to keep moving. 🌱 If you’re currently working toward employment or your first client, what’s ONE action you’re taking this week? Drop it below 👇 Let’s encourage each other.
💬 Let’s Talk About Effort & Opportunity
@Kim Penny Kim — first, thank you for being real about this. What you described is something almost every person building something new goes through. Time management isn’t always about “managing time.” Sometimes it’s about permission. Permission to: • Not do everything • Not respond to everything • Not carry everything When you said you need to figure out what to cut — that’s actually a leadership decision. Growth often requires subtraction before addition. And the fact that you landed a lead during a busy season? That’s not semi-bright. That’s proof. You weren’t as prepared as you wanted to be — but now you know what to refine. That’s experience. And experience builds confidence faster than waiting until everything is perfect. Instead of asking “How do I find more time?” Try asking: “What 1–2 things move me forward the most this week?” Everything else can be paused, delegated, or simplified. You’re not behind. You’re building. And builders adjust as they go. Keep going. You’re closer than you think.

🚀 SERIES 3 IS NOW LIVE 💬 How to Apply With Confidence
@Paul Caswell Paul — this is where filtering matters. If you’re on Upwork, here’s how to remove most of the noise: ✅ Set location filter to United States only You want business owners specifically looking for US-based bookkeepers. ✅ Use keywords like: • “QuickBooks Online” • “Monthly reconciliation” • “Cleanup” • “Small business bookkeeper” Avoid listings that say: • “Simple data entry” • “Easy task” • “Quick job” • Extremely low fixed price with vague description ✅ Look at the client history: • Have they hired before? • Do they have verified payment? • Are past freelancers paid fairly? If someone is offering $5/hour, that’s not your market. That’s a filter doing its job. The real opportunities are usually: • $25–$45/hr range for beginners • $300–$800/month flat fee projects • Businesses specifically asking for QBO experience Also remember — many solid business owners prefer US-based help for compliance, communication, and time zone reasons. You’re not competing with the whole world when you filter correctly.
@Paul Caswell you’re very welcome!! 😊
