How to join the live skool video Q & A for members
Hi, when are the live skool get togethers? I listened to last weeks but don't see how to actually join. I am a member. The live instagram isn't that great because it only lets me type so much so it's a very disjointed way to communicate my questions. Thank you, Loraine

Hey Loraine, hope you're doing well! Do you receive email notifications from the group? If not I can walk you through how to receive email notifications. Generally either towards the end of, or right at the beginning of the month I'll receive an email notification that there is a new post in the Heart Attack Proof group within the Skool platform about the next live Ask Me Anything event; the day, time, what it's about etc. Within that post there will also be a link to the meeting. There are also links to the meetings in the calendar section, but they won't show up in the calendar until towards the end of the month. Does that help at all?
Ask Me Anything - October 5, 2026 - 5pm CST
If you are not able to attend LIVE and want to ask a question then please leave it in the comments below and will be discussed during the event

Planning on attending yet leaving some questions while I have them in mind. the differences between a bilateral carotid duplex scan and the Heartsmart CIMT that I had in St. Louis. My results seem much worse from 2022 to 2025 so just wondering….can the progression actually be compared between the two? What is the benefit of choosing one test over the other? What if, when all is said and a person’s stenosis and plaque character keep getting worse? ALSO- how often should an echo be done when tracking LPa’s gift of aortic sclerosis?

Great job MT! I don’t know how, after listening to so many of your podcasts, I still learn yet another pivotal bit of info, but it just happened again… thanks for putting yourself out there!!
September 2026 - Ask Me Anything (AMA) - Monday 9/14 at 5pm CST
I will be discussing my take on the recently announced failure of Pelacarsen to lower cardiac events in patients with elevated Lp(a) If you are unable to attend LIVE and want to ask a question, then please leave the question in the comments of this posts and I will answer it We will see how a hybrid of asynchronous questions with Live questions work to increase the volume of questions and educational opportunities for this group's members

Just listened to the latest Attia interview with Michael Davidson. One thing they spoke about is the phase 2 and phase 3 trials of obicetrapib, its effects on LDL-C, apoB, LDL particle number, and Lp(a), and where the drug could fit alongside statins and other lipid-lowering therapies. What are your thoughts on this as a potential addition to statin therapy? I ask partially because we're talking about LP(a) today...

One more question related to today's Attia podcast, oh and when is your interview with Druh coming out? The LDL particle number- and the fact that Boston Heart is no longer including it in their readings- it seems like an important number to keep track of alongside the ApoB. What are your thoughts on the importance of keeping track of that? Thanks for the Ask Me Anything today, much appreciated!
Lp(a) Drug Pipeline Update: Four Agents, Up to 94% Reduction
The Lp(a) story continues to be one of the most exciting developments in preventive cardiology, and this week brought fresh pipeline context: • Muvalaplin (Eli Lilly) — oral Lp(a)-lowering agent, Phase 2 data complete, Phase 3 underway at UC Health and other centers • Lepodisiran (诺华/Novartis) — siRNA agent, single injection showing reductions of ~90%+ in Phase 1/2; ACCLAIM-Lp(a) trial active • Olpasiran (安进/Amgen) — siRNA, similar efficacy profile • Pelacarsen (Ionis/AstraZeneca) — ASO agent, earliest in development The HORIZON trial — first dedicated cardiovascular outcomes trial for an Lp(a)-lowering agent — is expected to report before end of 2026. This is the data that will tell us whether lowering Lp(a) actually reduces events the way LDL lowering does. If HORIZON is positive, Lp(a) screening moves from "interesting but untreatable" to "actionable cardiovascular risk factor" — a massive shift in preventive cardiology practice. Dr. Twyman, do the LPa lowering drugs also, because they’re lowering one of the drivers of higher cholesterol levels, have the potential to replace or reduce statin necessity? If it’s discovered that lowering LPa reduces CV events, what is the mechanism by which they are lowering events? I may not be asking the right questions to get to the answer that I seek but I’ll start with these….
