I finally uploaded a notebook/journal series that I've been sitting on for several years. Discovered that there is a limit to how many low-content books you can upload per day. Unsure if it's three or four in a 24 hour period (I uploaded one last night and three more today before I hit the limit). While it's a little frustrating to be slowed down (I got 4 up, but I only have one more to add), I understand why Amazon has implemented this limitation. Too many people were just throwing up low-quality nonsense and hopping that something would stick. And Amazon doesn't want a catalog full of crap to offer to their customers. But why would you want a nice, clean, short link for ALL of your books on Amazon? Because it looks better on business cards, social media links, book covers, and in emails. To do this, first create your Amazon Author Page at author.amazon.com and then view your page. In the URL, you'll find a unique number. I'm calling it an Author ASIN. If you copy it and search for this ASIN on Amazon, the search results will always be the books you'll tied to your Amazon Author Page. You can make this link as short as possible by using the format I've used abaove and just use YOUR Amazon ASIN instead. Anyone else know about this already?

What is the purpose of these sites? Well, most customers would prefer to buy books directly on Amazon. But as an author, I want to collect their contact information. So before sending them to Amazon, I want to offer them a digital item like the ebook, PDF, sample chapter, or bonus chapter in exchange for their email. Then, send them directly to Amazon to buy the book. Make sense? If you're already an author, would you be interested in a landing page like these?
