Updated 9/27/24 9:30AM for clarification: "I am fine with the gamification. I am also fine with leadership boards and competition. I do think that there should be more rules to this particular game otherwise what's the point? One person makes a post/comment about life's journey/asks a question/profound quote/educational resource and another person makes a post with a happy face, but they get the same number of points. Ed did discuss the quality of posts and comments suggesting that quality or quantity is important, but it is not built into the system. Such is the game of life.🙂 I do not mind gifs on my posts, in fact I have become quite fond of them and use them all the time, sometimes 3 in one post/comment. I may have a problem😅! What I mind (on my posts) is spamming gifs for points (I will admit, I am triggered at 4+ (You can laugh, I am laughing), lack of relevancy to the post, lack of point reciprocity and creating an environment of robotic competition, especially when there are threads set up within the community to support people with points. ***Please feel free to spam my account with advice, poetry, quotes, anecdotes, uplifting messages, anything at all that leads to the sincere leveling up of my 4 Sacred Accounts: Being, Energy, Love and Impact. " ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Originial post: I hope that this does not cause me to slow down on my points! I also know that I am not the only one who feels this way so I am hoping that others will speak up and participate in this discussion. I would like some clarification and your personal thoughts on Gamification. We are all individuals with different approaches to this process. When I post/comment, I am sincere and I try to offer something of value, sometimes it is simply excitement for someone's achievement. Yes, there is some competition due to the leaderboards, but I think there can be some decorum too.
